“Spacious room and beautiful view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We were greeted by Jill who showed us to our room, which was large and very comfortable and located on the base of the building. Everything you needed was there. The view from the room was breathtaking. If there was anything we needed, all we had to do was ring the bell and Jill was at our service. Breakfast was delightful - filled you up for the day. Close to Pitlochry - 5 minute drive to town or you could walk. Great B & B. On our next trip back, we will certainly book with Rowanlea.

“Comfortable and lovely”

We stayed there for two days, occupying the only two rooms this B&B has. The building has been clearly designed for a B&B. The guests never go upstairs, where the owners live, but enter the rooms -which are on the base of the building- going through their door-windows. The rooms are distributed in a very logical way. They are separated, and the room where breakfasts are served is in the middle of them, so you don't get any annoying noise.

The rooms are spacious, and the views from them are great. We usually spend all the day out, and stay at the hotels during the night to rest. That is why I think one of the most important aspects in a hotel are how good you sleep, and how good the showers are. Rowanlea House gets a 10 out of 10 in these aspects. The room is extremely quiet, the beds are big and comfortable, the pillows are great, and the shower has an amazing water pressure.

The owner is nice, and is one of the kind that does not interfere. Some people may like more closeness to the owners of these kind of places, but it fits the conception of this B&B.

“Beautiful view from lovely rooms”

Just stayed for 2 nights and the rooms are beautiful - at the back of the house, overlooking a wonderful and dramatic wooded landscape - with no other buildings in view. Large rooms with luxurious bathrooms, well furnished with good modern decor. Good breakfasts with plenty of choice and a nice friendly host with plenty of helpful advice if needed. Would definitely stay again. Golf club nearby with good restaurant.

Room Tip: Two rooms that are both equally as good, I believ.
