We stayed there for two days, occupying the only two rooms this B&B has. The building has been clearly designed for a B&B. The guests never go upstairs, where the owners live, but enter the rooms -which are on the base of the building- going through their door-windows. The rooms are distributed in a very logical way. They are separated, and the room where breakfasts are served is in the middle of them, so you don't get any annoying noise.
The rooms are spacious, and the views from them are great. We usually spend all the day out, and stay at the hotels during the night to rest. That is why I think one of the most important aspects in a hotel are how good you sleep, and how good the showers are. Rowanlea House gets a 10 out of 10 in these aspects. The room is extremely quiet, the beds are big and comfortable, the pillows are great, and the shower has an amazing water pressure.
The owner is nice, and is one of the kind that does not interfere. Some people may like more closeness to the owners of these kind of places, but it fits the conception of this B&B.
