“Good, but needs a bit of TLC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

On of the Travelodges which was an Innkeepers Lodge, so rooms are bigger and fittings better than most TLs. But this one could do with some TLC: our room door didn;t fit too well, and the carpet was showing wear. Importantly the bed was a lot better (firmer) than in some TLs we've stayed in.
For breakfast, ignore their own offering and head for Tesco's just over the A9.

“excellent staff poor accomodation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night, the staff were excellent, however my husband slept on the floor as the bed was so uncomfortable and his bread in his breakfast had mould on it. we will not say here again.
I know not to expect too much foe cheap accomodation but the view was the old disused grounds of the car auction

“Good value for Money”

We have never stayed at a travelodge before, we broke down on the motoraway on the way up 1 of our tyers had a blow out, I phone the travelodge to say we would be late & when we went in to our room on arrival they had put the fire on in our room so it would be warm when we arrived how sweet was that of them.
But we must say how impressed we were from start to finish good customer service, during our 4 day stay & so clean as well.
well presented bedroom & Bathroom, Tvs are really good as well, kettle with tea&Coffee.l
The only thing we would like to say on a down side is, if you like more than 1 pillow then take 1 with you or ask for more
Also the fire doors in the corridors are always banging, as most of the others guest while we were there were either workmen & business men staying this travelodge so they are out early in the mornings so this did keep waking us up from about 5am onwards.
All in All a very good stay
dobbs garden centre 2min walk is very good for breakfast

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

Great location just outside Perth by the motorway, easy bus trip to town,or tour around to Dunkeld, Blairgowrie etc.Fantastic pub on site for good food or just a dram,We got full scottish breakfast at Dobbies garden centre (also on site) for £2.75 (this was a £5.50 breakfast, 2 for one offer, not sure if it's on all the time). The lodge was as you would expect, basic but clean, with nice staff ,our room was huge, but just had a bed & modern flat screen tv,loads of space for a couple of chairs or a couch, which would have been good as we stayed a few days.

“Good Stop Over Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

I have stayed many times at this hotel when it was owned by InnKeepers and it was brilliant with the people who run the adjacent pub also ran the InnKeepers and they could never do enough for you. Sadly it not as good now it's a Travelodge.
Room was ok and the double sofa bed has since been replaced with separate pull out beds for the kids which is good. Shame there was a big coffee stain down the edge of one of the mattresses.
Usual noisy people late at night coming back to their room slamming the doors at gone midnight.
This Travelodge is ideally placed for breaking our journey from the far north of Scotland. So easy to get to off the A9 and close to a big supermarket which you can buy a reasonably priced breakfast.
Also only a short distance in the car into the centre of Perth, not sure of the options if you were using public transport.
Good value rooms which on the whole are clean, and I will stop here again as you can get some great prices in the sales, we stopped for £12 a night.
