“Really good experience!”

Stayed for an overmight break. Had a lovely time - the spa is fantastic, a nice swimming pool and a proper sauna/steam room and jacuzzi: the gym is a bit shabby but everything works. Our room wasn't big, but we were paying a very reasonable rate for a really great location - a short walk to the the city centre and within sight of the station - and it had everything you'd want, and the flatscreen TV and the in-room wifi were first-class. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are winners - friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay again. My one caveat is that I'm vegetarian, and while there was a sound vegetarian main course and a couple of starters, it was filling/good rather than interesting. Wouldn't have cared to eat there for more than one night. Same went for the breakfast - though you may feel you don't want excitement at that time in the morning, still, if there's a hot cooked breakfast offered with the room, my feeling is there should be a bit of effort to make it vegetarian-friendly. But overall, a really nice experience - very good value for money.

Room Tip: The windows aren't soundproofed, so I'd try to avoid getting a room that faced on to the mai...

Dear Yonmei,

Thanks for taking the time to post a review about your recent stay at the Best Western Queens Hotel in Perth. Your comments are well received - I'll pass onto the staff that you think they are doing a good job. Vegetarian breakfast - we do a wide selection of the usual cereals/juices/fruit etc - perhaps some vegetarian herb sausages would add that little bit extra to our offering. Food for thought so to speak! Look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Kind regards

“Hotel stay for Perth Concert”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

The Queen's Hotel was within walking distance of Perth Concert hall (about 10 mins)and had free parking which was why we chose it. It is also near bus and railway stations. We found the hotel very clean and the twin room was quite spacious with everything we required. Th ebreakfast was lovely and all hot food was served fresh to your table. We also ate dinner on 1 night and we thoroughly enjoyed what we chode. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay there in future.

“Good location, but the decor needs updating”

I stayed here for one night on business in January 2012. The hotel was very convenient for the centre of Perth, railway station etc...and there was car parking onsite. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and efficient.
Those are the positives.
On the negative side, the bedrooms and bathrooms are in need of an update - everything is just a bit tired and shabby.
My room was right by the lift, unfortunately, so I could hear every footstep in the corridor outside - and from above.
I tried to order room service but there was no response, so I gave up in the end and headed into Perth. To be fair, the girl on reception did apologise (she was on her own and dealing with guests checking in). Surely it would make more sense for the room service requests to be diverted rather than going through reception?

Room Tip: Choose one well away from the lift! And I guess the top floor would be best, as soundproofing wouldn...

Dear DW67,

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your stay. Getting constructive comments good or bad are vital for my business, and I really appreciate getting them from my customers. I am sorry you missed out on rooms service, because you have a choice of the whole menu - - and we only do home-made hand cut chips. Never mind, maybe next time when you stay.

Kind regards

“shabby and in need of a makeover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Stayed here on business and chose this htl because of it's proximity to railway station and centre. Ideal for both.
Reception service speedy and efficient. Bedroom small, clean, cold and with a draughty window.
Had a tasty but very small and overpriced bar meal, salmon and mash for £10. btl wine £17 or £18. Burger and 5 chips also £10, again tasty but still hungry.
Breakfast good and cooked to order. Service pleasant.

Dear DebsPoulton_Le_Fylde,

Thank you for your review in connection with your recent stay at the Queens Hotel. Customer feedback is vital to my business and helps keep us on our toes! Your comments are noted, both good and not so good - we only served hand cut, homemade chips and will ensure in the future that there are more than 5 chips on the plate. We look forward to welcoming you back at the Queens Hotel during your next business trip.

Kind Regards

“It was ok. And the price was fine...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We stayed overnight in Perth as a way to avoid driving in Edinburgh (I am from the US, so driving on the otherside of the road is a bit ackward - no accidents I am happy to report).

The Best Western has ok. The rooms were nothing special. The bartender in the lobby bar(young fella, very nice) was the highlight of the stay. Outside of that nothing to mention.

Not bad. Not great...Just fine....

Dear JPCzar,

thanks for taking the time to write a wee review after your return to the States from your trip in August 2011. I will pass your comments onto Neil the bartender - im sure he will appreciate it - that he was the highlight of your short stay with us. I need to try and recruit more staff like him.
