Paid £90 odd pound for our room and not impressed. In much need of an update very old tv extremely squeaky floor and just had this overall musty smell and room was cold did have electric heater but didnt work.Has a good bath in it but again bathroom needed a good few finishing touches done to it.
This hotel has so much potential but is really in need of a good upgrade and clean.
Receptionist was very good though.

The staff were very friendly and service was always good. The hotel has apparently had some money spent on it but it still looked like there was work needing doing as the lift wasn't clean and the skirting boards all looked like they needed repainted, however our room was nice and I probably would stay here again. The breakfast was nice but expensive for what you get but overall we did have a nice stay.

I stayed for a couple of nights on the way to Inverness. The hotel is in front of the train station and I liked the way it looked. I was quoted a very reasonable rate... I checked a few hotels on the way and it seemed like they had the best deals. The room was fantastic... certainly for the money I paid. I travel a lot and I really liked the unpretentiousness and informality of the place. Clearly it's undergoing some sort of refurbishment programme, but it didn't affect me in any way. Wi-fi was good, plenty of car parking space, near enough the entrance, good evening meal selection. The staff were excellent, though certainly not Scottish. The breakfast though was Scottish enough and being made fresh to order, was a nice change from the usuall pre-prepared food you are treated in other hotels. Would (Will) certainly stay again.

We stayed at the Station Hotel on 26th December, 2011, for one night. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and large. Water warm at all times, but in the morning the shower was only warm, and not hot enough. Our room and bathroom were not up to the standard shown in the professional photos. I have rated this Hotel quite highly because of the price we paid for the one night. Had I been charged another £10 I would have taken the rating down one. We did not eat in the Hotel. Breakfast I felt was pretty pricy at around £10 per person, but I never saw what was served so it could well have been good value. I would stay there again.
