“Stunning scenery, but don't take your eye off the road.”

Myself, Husband and 6 year old daughter stayed at this park in a prestige caravan mid October. We had a really good time and the caravan was lovely could not fault it. The park itself seems to have plenty to do, but with it being the end of the season many caravan were being packed up for the winter. The childrens entertainment was really good and the entertainment staff are excellent dealing with the children and keeping them amused. The only fault I would mention is nothing to do with the park but the location. It's a 10 miles of winding twisting roads to get to the park, but worth it when you get there the scenery is stunning and if you come out of the reception and turn left and follow the road it will take you past the snow covered mountains and heads towards Perth. Would def return.

Room Tip: We booked a prestige caravan, which turned out to be located in the owners park and was very quiet.

“Brill value for money”

Accomodation
we booked a 6-8 birth static caravan, and was pleasently surprised when we arrived. everything was clean and well looked after.
We had a microwave and hairdryer supplied which came in handy more than once. The carpet was clean and in good condition. the bathroom was quite small as with any caravan , the heated towel rack came in handy for drying the towels after swimming. The only complaint i had was about the shower as it was hard to keep the water hot if it wasnt on the hook . My 2 year threw up all over the bedding (nothing to do with dodgy food or anything) we told reception and within 20 mins housekeeping had changed the bedding for clean.

Food
The restaurant prices semmed steep at first but after we ordered it was easy to see why the food was n ot cheap, you get huge portions even the childrens meals are huge they are big enough to split between 2 kids. i would reccomend the chicken and bacon new yorker and the chocomallow fondue . The "fish and chip shop" is ok the pizzas are better than the fish etc also there is not much choice .the portions are quite small . the pizzas are not made fresh either they are allready made up and cooked from frozen/chilled but they are really nice..

Entertainment
We didnt watch the entertainment in the bar but my son had his face painted for free which he loved. the amusements are massive but they are ok and well looked after. the pool is clean and never too packed the changing areas are unisex but cubicles are provided and the lockers are a refundable £1 there is also a sauna and sunbeds which is a plus. they have armbands you can use if you hav not got any .

Area
The area is stunning even though the nearest decent shop is th co op in pitlochry we ended up travelling to Perth to the asda there. I would recommend taking the tourist route to pitlochry if you are a confident driver as it takes you up a steep winding single car track but the views are amazing. i would reccomend visiting inveraray jail and the scottish deer centre .

overall the stay was enjoyable would deffinately return

Room Tip: If you do not like rain do not go late on in the year. also there is no cash machine at the site t...

“Lodges were excellent and plenty of room wouldn't hesitate to go back, very friendly.”

Booked this holiday as it was reasonably priced. Yes road leading upto it is like a rollercoaster. Got into our lodge over an hour sooner as it was ready and we turned up early. Reception staff friendly and very helpful. Club at night was lovely newly refurbished. Children loved the pool. Lots to do nearby too. Don't want to stay in a caravan again as a lodge has spoiled us, very roomy and very well equiped. We realised on our return we had left an iphone charger in lodge so rang them and cleaners found it and it is being posted back to us. We all took our bikes and they came in use we rode upto Queens View which is 6 miles away and we all managed it.

Room Tip: Book a lodge they are lovely

“Poor Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

We had booked two log cabins for a party size of five adults & two children, the log cabins were ok but they should really try & remove the stains in the carpets & sofas, during some heavy rain the guttering startred leaking over the decking area which made it very slippery, this was reported on numerous occasions with no responce. The standard of the food within the so called 'restaurant' was poor to say the least, we tried it a couple of times the decided to eat at the Loch Tummel Inn which was far superior. On the morning we were leaving we decided to have a cooked breakfast, we arrived at 09.00AM (Opening Time) no stagg could be found to order the breakfast, we complained at reception & were told the 'cook' had slept in & would be there eventually, we wairted until 09.45am still no sign of the missing 'cook. As we were supposed to be out of the log cabins at 10.00am, we had to leave without breakfast. We duly complained to the person at reception who was not in the least bit interested in deaing with our complant. The staff here give a bad impression of what Scotland has to offer, the staff including the missing 'cook' should be replaced with people that show a proffesional attitude regardless of wht ther job title is.

“Quiet park in a beutifull setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

Stayed in a caravan situated in the wood, on quite a hill up from the main, small complex.
A long drive from nearest town, Pitlochry (nice place in itself)- you feel the drive is going on for ever!
Complex is near the river, and has a play park, and a small indoor pool, as well as a bar and function room where kids entertainment was on (not that we attended).
Bar prices and meals as you would expect, a bit pricey but nice.
Small kids amusement arcade and take away on an evening.
The place was quiet though plenty of folk around, everyone was friendly, though bear in mind some caravans are up quite a hill into the woods- so if problems walking, ask for a one lower down!
Spectacular scenery and wildlife in abundance, with plenty of good local attractions to visit (ill review them seperatley).
Well worth a visit if you want a quiet time away with family- found caravan quality to be good too.

Room Tip: if difficulty walking ask for a lower caravan as hill is quite steep
