Fantastic hotel - just returned from weekend break and what can I say !! lived up to my expectations and more. Food fantastic, room fabulous and outstanding service from every member of staff.

Well worth a visit. Our room was huge and facilities all that we needed. Food was amazing and served very promptly.

Just been to the murder mystery weekend. And even though I am worse for wear the experience has to be the best bar none. The staff were so friendly especially Paul and Gary who were brilliant. I can't fault anything. I am so happy with everything! Going home to relish a well deserved hangover! Top marks to the staff especially! Room was beautiful! Will definitely stay again!

My partner and I traveled from Leicester to celebrate New Years Eve with friends and family at the Menzies Hotel Irvine .
We normally go to London, but from the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. The manager and staff greeted us in a very welcoming manner. We were loking forward to a night of fun, and were not disappointed.
I never expect top quality food at such large occations, but how wrong I was. The eight course meal was superb, All of our group of eight, enjoyed every mouth full. We would like to congratulate the Chef and his staff for a superb meal. Throughout the proceedings and fun, the manager could be seen discreetly directing the very efficient and smiling staff, in his calm and reassuring manner.
On reflection, I am sure the relaxed, friendly atmosphere at the hotel, is due to his professional, relaxed style of management,
After the meal we had lots of fun dancing and singing into the NEW YEAR.
It may not have had the fireworks, but the Menzies Hotel had an abundance of everything else.
After a substantial SCOTTISH breakfast we departed with one thing on our mind,

Had stayed here previously and having spotted an offer I booked immediately as it coincided with meeting up with friends in the area.
Plenty of room in car park being quieter time of year although hotel obviously holds conferences, functions and is a popular venue for weddings.
We had a warm welcome from Kate on reception who found me a jug of milk later in the evening which was much appreciated.
Although others have commented on the tired decor, I don't agree.
I particularly like the framed advertisements running the length of the corridor, the rooms have comfortable beds, club chairs and was clean.
After settling in and happy with our room we decided to eat in the bar area and had lively chit chat with Anna, the bar person. She was fun and again helpful and informative.
I had the Haggis which was very tasty indeed and my friend had the fish.
Paul, the Operations Manager stopped to chat.

I would recommend this hotel for the ambiance created by the staff I met and will be returning!
