“Modern but homely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

We arrived late with 2 teenagers but were given a warm welcome and shown to the 2 rooms we had booked which were immaculate and decorated tastefully and with a homely feel. The en suites in both rooms were new and the powerful showers were welcome after our 4 hour trip. Breakfast was wonderful, you could help yourself to the usual cereal, fruit juice, fresh fruit and were offered a cooked breakfast as well. We felt price was very reasonable. Just a pity we could only stay 1 night as would have liked to stay on.

“Hidden gem in Elgin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

I know its a much used phrase - but this is indeed a hidden gem in Elgin. The house is beautifully decorated. The rooms have been furnished with a lot of love for details (e.g. the glases in the bathroom). Our room was very spacious with a large bed. Breakfast was very good, the owner friendly and helpful. The house is within walking distance to the city centre and a nice hotel bar, that offers a large selection of whiskys at very reasonable prices. Btw: Gordon and MacPhail isn´t far either. All in all, perfect place to stay.

“Beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2009

We were warmly welcomed to the Richmond B & B after driving through the highlands from Edinburgh. Our hosts, Jock and Allison suggested one of the local restaurants that we could walk to where we had dinner.
The Richmond B & B was just wonderful - welcoming, beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Our extended family (my Dad and our adult son, my husband and myself) had two of the bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin and both had very modern and private bathrooms. Our rooms also had wonderful tea trays for coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies.
Our wonderful hosts made us feel very welcome and had many tips about things to do in the area including which distilleries to visit on our whiskey tour in Speyside. On the morning we left, they also suggested that we may want to visit the Highland Games in Nairn on our way to the Isle of Skye - a wonderful suggestion and we would have not even known that they were on so close by.

We would highly recommend the Richmond B & B to anyone visiting the Elgin or Speyside area.

“A good night with a great breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2009

We had a very nice stay at the Richmond B&B. The room and bed were extremely nice, the garden was lovely. Breakfast was extremely good and the hosts very helpful. The only negative was the parking situation - parking on a busy street. The B&B was close to everything we needed. We would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Elgin.
