Our car was broken and we needed assistance and we had to wait 3 ours somewhere in the country. so we did not get there and we called, that it will be too late to get there on that day. now the charged us the hole price without sending us a mail or phone us!! We got back home and saw the full charge on our credit-card-bill.

Very, very disappoined!!!!

We came to The Old Bank House in May 2010 for one night. We were really well welcomed by Mike and Sally. They told us a little bit more about Kyle of Lochalsh and what to do around the town. The room was really cozy and comfortable, we slept very well and the breakfast was great. You do have to try their full Scottish breakfast which will fill your stomach for the whole day! I also have to mention that the bathroom was very clean. It's a two-minute walk from the train station and a great place to start visiting the Isle of Skye and the Eileen Donan Castle. I highly recommend this place, thanks for the nice stay!

Our room was a lovely place with beds everywhere, which the kids loved since they got their own to sleep on. The toilets are not ensuite but there was a shower in the room. Having to go down to the landing wasn't as much of an inconvenience as I was expecting. The breakfast was delicious and they made raspberry croissants for the kids! They even hunted up rice krispies for the pickier of our kids, allowed us to use their internet, and my son even got to play Nintendo with their son. The place is situated right on the corner of Main Street and very close to everything in town. We can recommend this place for the hospitality, though the price was a little steep (but what isn't?)

Recently a friend and I embarked on an impromptu journey to Northwestern Scotland. We booked accommodations last minute and had no plans for what we would fill our days with while there. Feeling quite apprehensive and a bit remorseful of our decision as we pulled into the train station in Kyle of Lochalsh, upon finding the B&B so close to the station and meeting our wonderful hosts, we knew things were on the up and up.

By the end of our stay, we didn't want to leave, and definitely plan on returning if we find time. The family that runs the B&B have such a wonderful outlook on life and such a joy for where they live that it's hard not to come away with some of their positivism. Their knowledge of the surrounding area, what to do, and how to get there was what made our stay so wonderful as well. Without them, our relaxing get away could have easily turned into an epic failure. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in search of a home away from home while exploring the beautiful landscape and culture of the area.
