“Excellent stay in Fort William”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Very friendly and helfpul hosts, excellent breakfast with great choice, comfortable, large and clean room. Very good bathroom. Real surprise was the additional features for guests such as menus of all restaurants in town in one folder or tons of materials of where to go and what to do. Well and by the way the view from the breakfast room is unforgetable! Perfect

“Warm welcome, beautiful views and first-class stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We stayed at St. Anthony's for two nights and nothing was too much trouble for Gill and Dave. We need assistance here and there and nothing was too much trouble. We were delighted with our large room overlooking the wonderful view. The weather was none to kind to us being on the back end of the hurricane but Dave and Gill were there with umbrella ready to assist us. Good breakfast with a view that makes you want to stay for days on end.

Thank you for your comments and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Unfortunately, the weather was out of our control, but at least we were able to offer a room with a view and help you with the assistance you required. We hope we might see you again another day, and that your hat eventually dried out !

“Luxury B&B - happy to recommend.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

This is the perfect example of a well run B&B. It is well organised, 'nipping clean', very comfortable and the hosts are friendly and approachable. Our family rooms and bathroom were very well appointed. The information in the rooms and on display in the reception area is comprehensive and from this we were able to orientate ourselves very quickly with where we needed to be and places to eat in the evening. The cooked breakfast at St Anthony's B&B is to write home about with the black pudding being 'melt in the mouth' gorgeous. The perfect recovery spot after a cold and wet expedition to the summit of Ben Nevis!

“Excellent! Great view of the loch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

We stayed one night in August, while making our way from Portree (on Skype) down to Stranraer, in the far SW corner of Scotland. Gill and Dave are great folks and their home is lovely. By the luck of the draw we got the room on the first floor with a view out over the loch... magnificent! Getting up the hill and finding them to begin with was the only real challenge... but as soon we saw that view, it was worth it! (Mind you... I was driving on what is the WRONG side of the road for me and it was really only my second full day behind the wheel... by the end of our stay I was far more comfortable.) We walked down into town via a couple of sets of steps that allow you to pass between houses, and had nice meal at the Munro Restaurant, which is above the Ben Nevis Bar. What's more, we shared our "4-top" table with a couple from the Netherlands and made some new friends! We'll go back to St. Anthony's again, should we have occasion to pass though Ft. William in the future.

Thank you for your kind comments and we are pleased to hear your enjoyed your stay with us. We certainly enjoyed talking with you and have sinced checked out your website - a lot going on! We hope you mastered driving on the 'wrong' side of the road by the time your holiday in Scotland was over, so it will make it easier when you return! We hope to see you again one day in the future when maybe you can stay longer in Fort William. Gill & Dave

“Spacious, great view and location”

We had a large family room with four beds and a great view of the town, loch and surrounding hills. It was an easy walk down to the High Street, where the hosts had recommended we'd find restaurant choices. A bit of a steep hike back but that's OK after the locally brewed beer and dinner we had. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your kind comments and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We try to offer advice to guests where to visit and where to eat and we have a menu guide for local restaurants to help you make your decision. Despite the climb to our house, guests usually comment that the views are always worth the effort. We hope to see you again one day in the future. Gill & Dave
