“decent and beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

When we entered the B&B, we were surprised by decoration. Looked magnificent! The river view from the window was stunning as well. Our surprise grew when we walked into the bathroom - it was HUGE! My wife and I joked that the bathroom could be modified into another guest room for single travellers. The dining room was also bright and beautiful, making our breakfast a joyful one. In particular, we really liked the muffins from the breakfast. Wish we had got more.

“great last minute breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Stayed here with my then fiance and sister in May 2009, when we did the whole harry potter train the next day early in the morning. We went down just to grab a roll or 2 before heading out to the train since we were leaving I'd say at least 30 or 40 min before breakfast was to start. Anyways, she came by and offered breakfast nonetheless, and I told her I didn't think I'd have time to wait for her to cook it, my having to leave shortly, to which she replied "we'll see" (or something along those lines it has been a few years). And, anyways in no time she brought by a great tasting breakfast which I then inhaled before we left for the train. If I'm ever in fort william again I'll definitly stay here.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

Lovely well kept and beautifully decorated guest house, well positioned only a few minutes walk to Fort William centre. Our room was beautiful and had a large bathroom. The residents' lounge was very comfortable with plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits and also an array of magazines detailing things to do in the area. The breakfast selection was very good and our cooked breakfasts were excellent. The day after our stay the hosts let us leave our car in their car park whilst we went on the Jacobite train journey, which was very kind and much appreciated. The only real negative we had was that they had confirmed in writing a loch view room but we were put at the back of the house and although the room was still very lovely we were disappointed as we had been planning the trip for a while. When I asked the owner about the room she didn’t seem terribly concerned. A very small token discount off the room rate would have shown some concern about the error. Apart from this the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely recommend.

“4 Fantastic nights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

We were made very welcome by Laura and show to our room (2, with loch view) The room was large, very clean, lots of tea & coffee. The shower was large and very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, well cooked and plenty of it with lots of cold or hot items. You will not go wrong by staying here. About 8 mins walk from town center.

Room Tip: Room 2 has Loch views.

“Unplanned stay, best of the holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

Picked at random driving by the 30+ places along this road packed with B&Bs and hotels.
This one is a short walk from the centre of town. Very spacious, clean and stylish rooms, fantastic beds (no expense spared), super-friendly guest house hosts - the kind that were born to run a guest house - Stuart and Lorna... Still remember their names two weeks after our visit.
Unfortunately for us, we had pre-booked at a hotel along the same road the next night... While Buccleuch set the bar high, the next place was dreadful.
If I ever get around to writing a book, I may consider going back for that relaxing atmosphere... the only thing to be wary of, is the size of the breakfast! I suggest asking for half a portion or clothes with a larger waist size.
