Hadn't stayed in a B&B for years choosing instead to search out deals and stay in hotels. Fort William was going to simply be an overnight stop whilst my wife and I did a quick tour of the highlands and having previously been I knew that was how many people viewed the place - as simply a sleeping place. The hotels and deals seemed quite soulless and dull so I thought I'd give the good old British B&B a go again. Tripadvisor ranked this at the top and it looked lovely - rang Mrs.Mount the owner and immediately knew this was the place for us. Lovely room, fantastic view across the loch and a very short walk to the seafood restuarant "Crannog" we planned to eat in. When leaving the next morning we were able to watch a family of otters playing on the lochside opposite which was, for a city boy, a really nice thing to see - never seen one in the wild before let alone a whole family. Overall a really great experience and I'll remember in future the warmth you can only get from a good B&B - and this is one of the best!

This is our first visit to scotland. We stopped by in fort williams on a rainny cold night, not knowing whether we could find anywhere at all. Since it was late and we had 1 senoior& 2 young kids with us we were worried. Lucky when i rang the bell, the lovely owner opened the door and showed us the rooms even b4 we asked! she was so kind to offer us 3 beautiful rooms.
We doubled our stay because we were so happy with it this cosy place. I have told my frds and they are all surprised and cant wait to try for themselves!

I stayed at the Myrtle Bank last weekend with my wife and daughter. It is situated immediately beside a loch and we were given a really warm Highland welcome by the owner, Dora, and our stay was excellent in every way. The accommodation could not have been better - my wife and I had a large, comfortable, clean room, very nicely decorated and furnished with a superb view ou over Loch Linnhe while our daughter's room was also first-rate. We only had a 3 or 4 minute walk to reach the town centre and in the morning the breakfast was excellent.

Our stay at the Myrtle Bank could not have been better, it provided everything we could have wanted in terms of welcome, accommodation, closeness to the town centre and breakfast. We'll be back !

My husband and I stayed for just the one night, and could not fault this guest house and we will definitely return for a longer stay next time.
