“Warm welcome, beautiful room, and fantastic views!”

We stayed at the Lodge for a few days over the christmas period and had a wonderful break. Everything was perfect, from the lovely, spacious, immaculately clean bedroom, with large ensuite which boasted a fantastic power shower; the 1st class breakfasts; and the relaxing lounge with spectular views over the loch and cosy woodburning stove. But what really made our stay so enjoyable was the warm welcome from Jackie and Chris who were fantastic hosts and really went out of their way to provide a great service and friendly atmosphere. Normally, I opt for hotel accommodation rather than B&B, but thought I would give Huntingtower a try based on the excellent reviews. I can honestly say that it exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend it. Best wishes to Jackie and Chris, from Arlene & Richard.

“Top Quality room and Service!”

What a wonderful start to our Scotland Vacation!
Chris and Jackie are wonderful hosts!

The room was spectacular, with wonderful views that were only matched by the spectacular service and delicious breakfasts.

Breakfast choices and options were amazing. Orange, Apple and Cranberry juice, Cereal, yogurt, and fruit (just to start!), then the choices of traditional hot breakfasts, porridge, eggs, toast, French Press Coffee and tea. YUMMAY! :-) (Ask about the optional Black Pudding before ordering).

If you're looking for top quality accommodations, service and breakfast, choose the Huntingtower Lodge!

Chris and Jackie gave us great ideas for touring the beautiful countryside, every place they suggested was perfect! (The Gondola, Waterfall Hike, Round Trip to the Coast, Castle and across the 1 mile car ferry.)

We wish we could have stayed longer!
Only about 2 hours from Glasgow, we are so glad we based our reservation on fellow 'tripadvisor' reviewers!

Last minute comments:
There were plenty of Guidebooks, maps, movies, books and games to enjoy during your stay. We watched the birds while we ate breakfast, through the gorgeous huge window in the lounging area.

On our last morning, Chris got up early to make us a spectacular breakfast in preparation of our drive back to Glasgow. (Great Service!)

Room Tip: You can't choose a bad room!

“Quite simply PERFECT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Stayed at the Huntingtower Lodge a couple of times. One word summarises the experience: PERFECT.

After having so many poor B&B experiences in Scotland, the HTL is quite simply the epitome of quality. Sure, not the cheapest, but like most things in life you get what you pay for, and a stay here is worth every penny.

If you only have time for one overnight stay on the west coast, make it Fort William, and make it the HTL.

Room Tip: All the rooms are fabuously appointed. The HTL is like something from the pages of a glossy interior...

“LOVELY!”

This B&B was modern but cozy with beautiful views of the lochs. I was lucky enough to see an otter, and I got a close up view with the binoculars they provide. Lovely hosts, Chris & Jackie and they serve a yummy breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay; they were most helpful with pointing out good hikes or their favorite things to do if we asked.

“Spectacular View and Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

Even though it was raining when we arrived, the view from both our room and the lounge was phenomenal. Chris and Jackie were very friendly and helpful. While I napped a bit at the end of the day, they served tea and brownies to my wife while she read and enjoyed the view. That alone makes her want to go back just to sit there with her feet up again. They also made a dinner reservation at a restaurant for us that worked out really well.

The room was large, comfy, clean, and very modern. We identified most stuff as coming straight from Ikea which was a little amusing. The bathroom was modern but the light timer was annoying (we're all about greenness but that's pushing it). The breakfast was very good.

The ground floor room may not be a good choice if you're a light sleeper or want to sleep in. It's very close to the main dining area and lounge.

Many thanks Andrew F for your complimentary review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for bringing the problem of the shower room light to our attention. After reading your review we checked it and were dismayed to find that that the timer was faulty, we have had it repaired now. If you ever return to Fort William we would love to share our view with you again.
