A pleasant little place, everything you need. Nicer atmosphere than a hotel, though the standards do tend to be a bit lower. For example, I just before I had stayed at the cairgorm hotel for 3 nights at £50 a night, and here you got individual tea-bags on strings. The kismet at £30 a night for 3 nights, the tea bags are in a jam jar. Its a bit more like a house than a hotel, but in some ways benefits for that. Cairngom breakfast for example is in a large dark, very tartan restaurant. Kismet brekfast is at a big dinner table, in a light and airy room. Other reviews mentioned a large smelly dog - I'm not sure the dog is still there, but if it is then its certainly very quiet and not at all smelly.
I'd happily stay here again.
