“LOCHS AND GLENS FORT WILLIAM”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Just returned from our 13th Lochs and Glens trip and already planning 14th and 15th trips. Another brilliant holiday. Long coach journey but enough stops and worth the effort. Daily trips included in the price, added value provided by drivers local knowledge and history. Lovely to return at the end of the day to a real fire. good food and lovely surroundings.Staff are genuinely pleasant and helpful.

“what a wonderful hotel”

we have just returned from the highland hotel in fort william. have to give this hotel top marks for everything. had a wonderful room facing the loch, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, lovely deep bath and a really good shower. meals were varied, with four choices of main course, staff couldn't be faulted. would recommend this hotel to anyone. ours was a break with lochs and glens who own the hotel, our 4th trip with them, can't fault them.

Room Tip: room 107 is just up the stairs from reception with a wonderful view of loch linnhe

“Not for everyone, but we loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I was recommended Lochs and Glens by a friend and were very pleased with our stay.

I should state from the outset that I went with my son on a self drive basis, so cannot comment on the coach service or excursions. I should also say that my son (10) was the only child and I was probably the second youngest guest. However, the staff could not have made us more welcome.

Our room was described as a twin but contained a double and single bed. The room was really comfortable and newly refurbished with a great bathroom.

Meals would not be to everyone's taste. You have a set time for breakfast or dinner but as these were set around the coach trips, we asked to change the times that were not convenient and the staff were very happy to oblige. There is a choice of about four starters, mains and deserts for each meal. I found the food pleasant but not outstanding. The service was very quick and this suited us as my son can get bored in restaurants. He really enjoyed the food and the setup. However, if you are looking for lingering romantic dinners, you may be disappointed.

The staff are very good, helpful and friendly. The bar prices were very reasonable and the wine list good.

If it suits you, Lochs and Glens have really got it right. It is fantastic value for money and we have booked to go again in February, what better recommendation can I give you?

“BRILL!!”

Ive just returned from my holiday in scotland, and it was brilliant. The trip up there was long but the driver was more than entertaining, the food was lovely and the rooms were warm and very well kept, it probably is for the older generation 50 upwards but i didnt feel awkward in anyway being young, BUT i would defiantly go there again.

“Christmas in Scotland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Having travelled with Lochs and Glens many times, we had never experienced a Christmas break with them before. Our choice was made on "value for money" and wow ! did we get it !
From the welcome on arrival, the friendly dining room staff and the general party atmosphere, we knew we were on to a winner! The food was always hot, beautifully served and delicious, with extensive vegetarian choice. For entertainment on Christmas Eve, we were taken to to a professional theatre in Inverness, where we had the best possible seats, to watch a lovely traditional pantomime, Cinderella. "Oh yes we did!". One evening at the hotel, a truly Scottish Pipe Band entertained us royally, and every night there was music for dancing. With quizzes, presents from Father Christmas and optional trips into the Hghlands,
our first Scottish Christmas was a joy from start to finish.

Room Tip: the majority of the bedrooms are accessible by lift, BUT the excellent new extension has no lift...
