Where do I start??
Kirsty and her Father who run this Hostel, have to be two of the most ignorant, rude and downright nasty hosts I have ever come across.
On arrival to this dated and fairly run down hostel, we were told outright things we were not allowed to do. When we asked questions the said owners pretty much spoke to us like we were idiots. The rudeness we encountered was incomprehensible. At some stages they did not even turn their head to look and answer directly to us, "Kirsty" played her game on the laptop while rudely giving us an answer, then later on preceded to complain and give out about the leader of our group who had not yet turned up.
WE WERE ON THE VERGE OF GOING NEXT DOOR TO A GORGEOUS B & B TO STAY THERE.
Rooms are basic, toilets which u share with 7 others are tiny. We were not allowed use sleeping bags but we did because the duvets were absolutely disgusting and we wrapped clothes around the pillows because of the stains. Bar closed early due to the fact we were told by the owner he had lost his license so we ventured down the road to a lovely pub run by actual Scottish friendly people.
I can write forever about this place..... mainly the disgusting rudeness we encountered. Thank god we left the next morning bright and early, earlier than anticipated to get away from the place, put a complete dampner on our first night of our trip.....
I would categorically advise everyone not to stay here.
Bad vibe in the hostel, bad service, bad decor, disgusting bed duvets and sheets, everything stinks.
So Kirsty and your Father if you are reading this PLEASE get some customer service skills so that other people do not have to suffer at your hands and put a dampner on their holiday,
