Alison is amazing and this review is long overdue. My significant other and I went on holiday to the UK during Christmas and New Years and flew up to Inverness to stay at Craig Villa Guest House after spending a week in the hustle and bustle of London. I was not feeling very good when I arrived, owing partly to the struggle in finding places for a celiac to eat in London (I'm sure there are many places, but it's just too big a city to find them when you are busy sightseeing - therefore I went hungry most of the time or did not eat properly) and also partly because I had developed a rather terrible kidney infection. The latter I did not quite know about until I ended up at Inverness Hospital a few hours later. So I have to say, not only was the house and neighbourhood beautiful, the stay very peaceful & home-like, the bed so comfortable we could barely wake up in the morning, and the breakfasts FABULOUS - Alison went above and beyond hospitality and became an amazing friend for a week (and beyond!) with helping me with my medical situation, giving us great travel advice, making celiac-friendly breakfasts, and always putting smiles on our faces with the amazing morning chats we had every day about life. It was amazing to finally set aside my troubles and just relax and enjoy the rest of my holiday without the worry of all the little things that made London life challenging- so Thank You, Alison! I'd still love to buy a cottage in Inverness! :)
