“So fantastic that we wanted to move to Inverness!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Alison is amazing and this review is long overdue. My significant other and I went on holiday to the UK during Christmas and New Years and flew up to Inverness to stay at Craig Villa Guest House after spending a week in the hustle and bustle of London. I was not feeling very good when I arrived, owing partly to the struggle in finding places for a celiac to eat in London (I'm sure there are many places, but it's just too big a city to find them when you are busy sightseeing - therefore I went hungry most of the time or did not eat properly) and also partly because I had developed a rather terrible kidney infection. The latter I did not quite know about until I ended up at Inverness Hospital a few hours later. So I have to say, not only was the house and neighbourhood beautiful, the stay very peaceful & home-like, the bed so comfortable we could barely wake up in the morning, and the breakfasts FABULOUS - Alison went above and beyond hospitality and became an amazing friend for a week (and beyond!) with helping me with my medical situation, giving us great travel advice, making celiac-friendly breakfasts, and always putting smiles on our faces with the amazing morning chats we had every day about life. It was amazing to finally set aside my troubles and just relax and enjoy the rest of my holiday without the worry of all the little things that made London life challenging- so Thank You, Alison! I'd still love to buy a cottage in Inverness! :)

“Cozy, comfortable an clean !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012 via mobile

Very nice interior with good sized rooms, very clean and new shower and toilet! Friendly and good service ! £35/person/night, so 70 for a twin room, slightly costly but you get your money's worth ! Ps. Best breakfast I've had in a b&b !

“Home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Can't say enough about this lovely house. Alison is kind and welcoming, nothing is too much much bother for her. The rooms are great with free wi-fi, fantastic value for money. Lots of extras in the room like lovely toiletries, shortbread and sweets! The location is great for all the facilities in town but quiet. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

“Just like home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

We felt SO welcomed upon arrival. Alison didn't hesitate to do anything to make our stay enjoyable! She was most helpful with recommendations and on our excursion to the highlands. The location was very good, near to town. The room was lovely and very clean with lots of little perks that showed that a lot of love and thought was put into the room, as well as the rest of the house that we saw. She served an excellent breakfast, with plenty of options, and again, willing to make any adjustments for our pleasure (loved the salmon!). She makes delicious jam as well. Although our stay was short, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend by the time we regretfully had to leave. Thanks Alison and I'm sorry this review is very overdue!

“Wonderful welcome and comfortable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

Alison, the host, is wonderful; so very friendly and welcoming. I had the double room up the stairs. It was spacious and offered everything you could need. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great. Alison uses Stornoway Black pudding and this was delicious! Free wi-fi was welcome. This is the first place I've been to where I have been offered Red tea. Brilliant! There is a good chinese less than 5 minutes away. I can't recommend this B&B highly enough.

Room Tip: Room 3 spacious
