The Alexander is a well run, conveniently located, immaculate and very attractive guest house. I loved the way the airy, modern finishes complemented the original Victorian elements. The breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented. Try to get a room in the front overlooking the Ness. The view from the elegant bay window in our room was stunning!

Spotlessly clean B&B with really good breakfasts. Run highly efficiently (almost like a small hotel) but with a real personal touch from the owners. They were particularly kind to me when I was taken ill and cleaned the room quickly so I could get back in should I need to use the room during the day. They also organised a taxi to the airport and made follow up calls when they thought it might be late. This is the kind of thoughtful personal service that really sets this guesthouse apart.

Handmade soaps in the bathrooms, tartan rug at the end of the bed if things chilly in the evening, comfy mattress and fluffy towels. Everything needed for a comfy stay.

Wonderful location with beautiful views of the river, a short walk away from all the amenities in Inverness

Parking is available at the back and berries grown in the garden are served at breakfast when in season. Highly recommended

My husband and I went to Scotland to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We chose to stay in Alexander while in Inverness and this turned out to be an excellent choise. The House was very beautiful and situated next to the river Ness. I liked that the short history of the House was written in our room, as i am interested in history. The room in which we stayed for three nights was nice and clean and very comfortable with a river view. There was a nice hospitality tray. The dining room downstairs was elegant and beautiful and the breakfast was all you could hope for! And the service was very good. Our friendly host and hostess gave us a very warm welcome to Scotland with their hospitality and lovely house. Thank you so much, we truly enjoyd our stay!
