“An Intimate Excellent Value City Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

My wife and I visited Inverness to go to the Camanachd Cup (Shinty) and decided that rather than drive up and back from Glasgow in a day, we would make a long weekend of it. I found the Maple Court on the internet and not liking big hotels and loving good food, this hotel appeared to fit the bill. We were certainly not disappointed! Situated close to Bugh Park and alongside the river, the Maple Court is within close reach of the city centre by taking an easy stroll alongside the Ness. The hotel is "busy" with something on most evenings as one would expect of a city hotel, but the single storey layout ensures that the rooms are not affected by noise. The food is super excellent!! - the only criticism being that the size of the portions do not do you a lot of good if you are dieting!! The staff throughout are engaging, happy, polite and really appear to want to make your stay an enjoyable experience. We shall have no hesitation in trying to find another excuse to stay there.

“Tired and soul-less!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

Too expensive. £79 a night. Had to walk past the laundry and the heaped baby chairs on the way to the room . Walls stained. Next morning even worse, heaped dirty linen on the floor next to the plastic laundry bags. The surprise was stepping over the vacuum cleaner to get into the dining room for breakfast. Entrance dirty with carpet leaning next to the wall. Chair with ripped fabric in entrance and dirty ceiling lamps. Bar has blinking light machine in the middle of the room.
I had a better room in a nearbye guest house for half the price. Regret changing to this hotel.

“No nonsense basic hotel - good value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

Stayed at the hotel for two nights while attending a wedding. Great location, right on the river front and about 10-15 minutes pleasant walk from the town centre.

The hotel is a perfectly pleasant place to stay - clean, good sized rooms - nothing too fancy. There are a good few tables outside along with a smal kiddies play area. Breakfast was good, staff very pleasant and helpful.

The wedding meal (which can sometimes be a real challenge for a small kitchen) was good.
