The price we paid, we should not complain.....but its still hard earned .I know what to expect but very disappointed with the dirty cover for the pull out bed that my grandson had to sleep on, I took it off the mattress and the mattress was badly stained. My teenage grandson was disgusted, He slept on the settee covered with sheets.No excuse for dirty bedding. Bad show Travel Lodge. There was 3 of us but only 2 of everything, so had to go back and forward for extra bedding towels. very sparse.

Stayed here last weekend for 2 nights. Very helpful and cheerful receptionist (Tim). Room was imacculately clean. Bed comfy, plenty hot water. Excellent value. looking forward to staying here again next weekend

Excellent standard for a budget hotel. Good size room, very clean, new towels and a bathroom with not a spot of mould, which is more that you can say for many more expensive hotels. The bed was a bit on the soft side which may actually suit lots of people and a double is exactly that ( not king size!). However you only get what you pay for!. Extra pillows were in short supply but the superb Canadian receptionist was very helpful and found a solution! Handy location, great staff and certainly doesn't deserve some of the other negative reviews.

We booked this hotel about three months in advance and got the room for £15 (so cheaper rooms are available, if you're planning well ahead)

The hotel is basic and provides what's needed for a night's accommodation - a clean room with a bed and a bathrooom. We go armed with our breakfast (normally cereal or instant porridge) so we don't need to buy the £4.50 breakfast bag. This Travelodge has a restaurant nearby as well as a Tesco Extra not too far away in the retail park (which also has a cafe, if you can't be bothered taking your breakfast with you!)

Travelodge is a budget hotel chain - go with this expectation and you'll be fine. If you're looking for luxury and being served on hand and foot, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for somewhere to put your head and have a wash, then this fits the bill.
