“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We got a good deal for the Kingsmills hotel which is always a welcome start! It's a nice comfortable hotel in really good condition. Bedroom was large enough and the WiFi was indispensable as 3G connection was ropey. Comfortable bar and dining area and the food was pretty good. Breakfast was excellent, think I ended up looking like a haggis. I wouldn't describe it (as per their website) as "just a short walk from Inverness city centre", it's a decent walk which is probably why I've described it as 4/5. There are couple of standard food pubs nearby that are okay for an evening out, food and footy on the tele, that sort of thing. It also has a funky little par 3 golf course with a few holes, that was fun!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review, I always appreciate feedback. I will share with our management team your comments. I was glad you liked the large room and the great bar and lounge. Regarding walking to the city, it is a 10 minute walk to the top of the Eastgate centre (the main shopping mall) or 15 mins right down to the river Ness.

I would like to welcome you back at some point in the future.

Kind Regards

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

The room was huge as was the bed and nice big bathroom!
The food was great and never had so much choice for breakfast, but the main thing for me was the staff everyone of them was very helpful and always had a smile on there faces and could not do enough to help us in any way they could. If ever we go back to inverness I know which hotel we will be staying at!

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012 via mobile

We stayed for 1 night in the Kingsmills Hotel whilst passing through Inverness, staying in a standard room on the ground floor.
The room was huge, with a massive super-kingsize bed, seperate dressing area between the main door and bedroom, and patio doors leading out to the lovely gardens - very impressive, at first I thought we'd accidently been put in a suite!

We ordered room service for dinner which was delivered quickly, and was delicious - finished off with the lovely shortbread and cake left in the room on arrival. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

It was a short but sweet visit, but we'll definitely be back (amd next time I think we might treat ourselves to a stay at the Kingsclub and Spa - we had a quick peek around and it looks amazing!).

“Kingsclub and spa nice but overpriced.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012 via mobile

First of all of I had paid full price for the room at the Kingsclub I would have been disappointed.

The hotel looks great and the room was very nice. Our room temperature did not seem to be warming and going by the cheapy additional halogen Heater the hotel knew it didn't work.

They have the worst pillows ever. Coupled with the road noise all night and mornin, not the greatest of nights. The balcony doors and side window were letting in air and noise

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. I was disappointed to read that you found the Kingsclub to be overpriced. The Kingsclub does offer modern, contemporary rooms which are very well appointed and offers extras that standard rooms do not have such as robes, slippers, a welcome plate, fresh milk for your tea and coffee, fresh coffee instead of instant, i-pod docking station, cordless phone, clock radio, large flat screen tvs with over 120 channels. It also hosts a free business center and mezzanine lounge.

I was sorry to hear you were disturbed by the external noise and drafts. I can only assume the window vents were left in the open position. The whole country has experience a very cold week and we have supplied additional heating for guests who wish.

Kind Regards
