This property is in an excellent location on the riverbank in the centre of Inverness, a 2 minute walk to the nearest pub & restaurant and only a short stroll from the busier pubs and shops on the high st.

The reasons I say that this guest house is more like a hotel are as follows, size of property, keycards for doors, bedrooms and decor.

All in all the Westbourne has loads to offer and the highlander breakfast is good quality food and a massive plateful, also a wide range of cereals and yoghurts and lashings of tea and coffee, the breakfast really sets you up for the day ahead whether its a day at the football or shopping or touring I would highly recommend the Westbourne, you will not be dissapointed.

We used this hotel as a base for a few days for touring skye and the western highlands and the proprietor Richard was handy with local knowledge of pubs restaurants and places to visit.

from you arrive till you leave you are made very welcome by richard and nan. our room looked over the river. everything was great. we couldnt fault anything. 5 min walk from bus and railway stations good location for shops, pubs.

Great location next to the river yet a short walk from the centre. Hosts were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge, the room was ok, at the back so not a great view and the bed was rather hard, in general the place could do with a makeover as the decor is rather musty and dated but the personal touches completely override this - the home made snacks and port in the lounge, the folder of local restaurant menus, fresh milk and a cuddly bear in the room all made you feel like an extra effort was being made. Liked the way each room had their own allocated breakfast table and the choice and quality of breakfast was very good including gluten free cereal. Good value for money especially if you like to feel you are more than just another guest.

Very friendly people. Clean, quiet room, decor not brand new but everything you could need for a short stay provided. A lounge to sit in with wifi available. Lovely full breakfast cooked to order and I enjoyed the porridge. Nice extra was the offer to help yourself to sherry/port in the evening with a nice selection of home made treats!
