I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Highland Hotel. My room was clean, staff helpful and the fact I had no car made the hotel just perfect. It's right next door to the train station, and a block away from the bus station. I was more than satisfied with the hotel at the price I paid. The deal I had also included breakfast - which had an extrensive buffet selection.

Room Tip: Request a non-smoking room. The first room allocated to me was a smoking room, and this was fixed pr...

“nearly there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

right in the middle of Inverness, parking a little difficult, but some spaces available.
check in fast and professional, hotel was very clean.
Dinner was in a very dim Ashe's restaurant, food was tasty and filling, but tasted more cook than chef.
Buffet style breakfast was great, plenty of everything, well cooked, plenty of choice.
I would stay again.

we are glad you enjoyed your stay and that like many others enjoyed the sumptious buffet breakfast.. Unfortunately being centrally located the parking is limited however in the next street the pay & display is approx £4 for 24 hours and you may come and go within that period. Hope to see you again soon

“Nice stay in Inverness at Royal Highland Hotel”

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Royal Highland Hotel. Deal included full breakfast on both mornings and this was superb. Due to work being carried out at the hotel breakfast was served in the bar area, however the choice on offer was extensive. We had cereals and full cooked breakfast and there was also a selection of meats and cheese, together with pastries and muffins. We ate our evening meal at the local Wetherspoons so I cannot comment on the food provided by the hotel in the evening.
We were given an upgrade to our room on arrival and this was comfortable, well decorated and had two double beds. The bathroom had a bath and shower over and we were given complimentary toiletries. Our room number was 127 which was on the first floor and faced onto the front. We did not have a view, but also there was no noise from outside. The room was serviced on both days and the room tray was refreshed with complimentary bottles of water and biscuits and the usual selection of tea and coffee.
The hotel staff were all friendly, very helpful and knowledgable when providing directions to local amenities.
Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Royal Highland Hotel and would definitely stay there again

Just returned from a 2 night break at this hotel, the hotels location is great (just outside the train station. On entering the reception i was amazed by the beauitful staircase that meets you on arrival. Check in was speedy and organised. The room we were allowcated was spacious and clean. Breakfast was fab! so much to pick from (continental-cooked buffet). We never ate in the ash restuarant so cant comment on that but staff were polite and talkative when we purchesed drinks from the bar. We did have a slight problem with our room but the manager Janice was on hand and sorted the issue. we are looking forward to our next visit to the hotel in the near fututre. regards
