Turned up to a very warm welcome which continued throughout the stay. All staff were SO friendly and helpful. Gary the manager never stops and is always smiling and keen to help.
The views are amazing and you are so close to the loch and harbour for the loch cruises.
The hotel also has a Cobbs bakery attached and Gift shop with a large selection of Scottish gifts although some prices were a little high (in the shop).
In fact its a good central position for many local sights like Urqhart castle and Ben Nevis and Fort Augustus and Whiskey distilleries. The rooms are well proportioned and nicely furnished and the whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Everyday we would return to a lovely clean room.
But for me the highlight of the Clansman is the food and drink. The full Scottish Breakfasts are Great and the haggis is the star. The great selection of evening meals made with many local ingredients were 5 star meals for me. I would commend the Chef especially as he is new to the hotel. The bar has a vast range of beers, wines, whiskys and spirits with large comfy sofas to relax in.
All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely return again.
