“A great place to stay in Inverness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

My husband and I wanted a place to stay overnight convenient for the town centre and we definitely made the right decision to stay here. Our room was beautiful - large double bed, ensuite shower room, spotlessly clean with a great breakfast. It was so good that we've booked on our way back to Skye later this week!

Room Tip: Will update after my stay later in the week but the room we had was at the front of the building - n...

“Inverness, Cedar Villa”

The Cedar Villa is a great little B&B , small in size but certainly not in hospitality as has previously been posted ,the breakfast supplied is enough to keep you going for the day.
Situated about 10 minutes walk from the Railway station it`s ideally located for the town centre ,& easily located for anyone visiting Inverness, I would have no hesitation about returning to this guesthouse when in Inverness.

“Did we stay at the same place as all the others?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

We were less than impressed with this B&B in Inverness. We arrived at about 5:00pm having pre-booked through Expedia but there was no-one in; we had to telephone the owner on his mobile, whereupon he came round "from the shop" to let us in.
The room was tired and unwelcoming, lit by bare low-energy bulbs. There was only one power point which was taken up by a trailing lead, into which was plugged a multi-socket for the kettle, tv and digibox. The tangle of wires resembled spaghetti.
Breakfast was very basic. We had ordered full Scottish breakfast but received a mass-produced sausage, bacon still with the white gunge on it, baked beans and an overcooked fried egg.
We paid £80 through Expedia for this stopover. When I compare this to what we got for the same or less elsewhere in Scotland I can only think that we paid over the odds for booking through Expedia. A lesson learned.

“You'll be happy you stayed here”

Clean comfortable bed and nice shower with excellent pressure. Breakfast was amazing. Best part of this B&B is Frank. Friendly, personable and quick to offer good advice on where to go and eat. Had a beautiful romantic walk along the river and two excellent meals (one casual and one more upscale) based on Franks tips.

My family enjoyed the proximity to the city and this served as a great base from which to explore the Highlands. The breakfast was generous and delicious! Our host was very helpful and friendly!
