“WOW What a fantastic find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2008

Well where do I start. We were in Inverness for the half marathon in March and stayed at Avalon in Inverness and planned to stay the weekend of the Loch Ness Marthon 6 October the weekend just past. We couldn't get in but we were told about Daisy Cottage. What a find. We phoned and spoke to Geraldine and Carlo and booked for the weekend.
I then phoned to say we would be arriving late on the Friday night. Geraldine waited for us and showed us in and got us settled. We left a note for our breakfast the following morning and were told to treat the place as our own and come and go as we wished. At this point I will tell you that the whole of the front of their house becomes yours for the length of your stay. You will see by the photos attached the bedroom ensuite bathroom and lounge and breakfast area are for your exclusive use as nobody else stays in this cottage while you are.
Our breakfast was great with cereal fruit juice and a selection of cooked breakfast items but please make sure you leave room for the warm home made scones that are provided by Carlo (so good we brought some home with us today).
Because Don was running in the marathon Sunday and had to be at the stadium for 7.45am we thought he wouldn't get any breakfast as they tend to serve breakfast at either 8am or 8.30am but Geraldine arranged to serve his breakfast to him at 7am instead they are so accomodating.
We also got to meet precocious Cora, Geraldine and Carlos daughter (pretending to be shy and by this morning making sure she came and said goodbye before we left).
The whole area you stay in is very comfortably decorated and well appointed and is immaculately kept for the time you stay.
We loved staying here and are glad that Avalon was fully booked. We will be back and have promised that we will do a visit next time when he doesn't have a half or full marathon to run so that we can both relax and in Daisy Cottage you couldn't fine a better place to do it in. Deb and Don

“Superb hospitality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2008

Just spent four nights at Daisy Cottage B & B Inverness. Great hospitality, made to feel like extended family. So helpful, couldn't do enough for us. Lovely contemporary king size room with super shower/bathroom and one other large room with table, chairs for clients use. Great food, very relaxed atmosphere.

“Beautiful New B&B in Inverness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2008

Daisy Cottage is a great new bed & breakfast in Inverness. I should start by saying that it's not really a bed & breakfast per se, but rather, it's a private suite (a bedroom, living room, and bathroom) in a the lovely home of Carlo and Geraldine. Carlo is a professional chef and cooks a private breakfast for you every morning.

I will try to be brief because I could go on for a long while in my praise. Our flight arrived late into Inverness, but Geraldine was more and happy to accommodate us and show us around, even at the late hour. The bedroom was carefully, if simply, appointed with a comfortable bed, thick curtains to keep out the sunlight (LATE sunsets and EARLY sunrises this far north!), a cable TV, etc. There was a generous hospitality tray with cookies and provisions for tea and coffee. There was also an updated list of "what's on" in and around Inverness; we found this particularly useful as it alerted us to festivals and events that we would never have known about otherwise.

Breakfasts were excellent. Each evening, we filled out a sheet saying what we would like to eat in the morning. We could choose a full English breakfast, including any combination of fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, yoghurt, porridge (prepared "Highlands Style" or not), cereal, meat, and veggies. There was more than we could possibly eat, but it was all delicious. Once breakfast was over, the breakfast room was our own private living-room space.

Perhaps most noteworthy was the level of service Geraldine and Carlo provided. They were always available and eager to help, but they were never intrusive. If we didn't see them around but had a question, we rang a small doorbell that rang in their area, and someone came right out. We even left something small there by accident, and they happily mailed it back to us in the States without wasting any time and without asking us to reimburse them for the postage.

Geraldine and Carlo were great hosts. They only reason I can imagine that you may not see any other reviews here is that it's quite new: they've only been running Daisy Cottage since last July. It seems like they've been doing it for longer. Moreover, they do not fall into the category of B&B hosts that request that seemingly satisfied guests post a positive review on Tripadvisor in order to "boost" their rating – that's just not how they are. Rather, they are lovely, unassuming people who care simply about providing their guests with a memorable stay in this remarkable region of the country, and that's exactly what they did.
