We stayed at the Eildon in August 2010 for 3 nights. I forget the room no. we stayed in, but it was a tiniest room at the back of the house overlooking the car park. Though everything was provided for in the room like tea and coffee making facilites, biscuits a mini fridge and a T.V, the room was too small and cramped to accomodate all this. We had no space to keep luggage and had to shove our bags under the bed. There was a small hanger rail to hang up clothes. The bathroom was tiny too. You could barely move in the shower cubicle. But both the room and bathroom were very clean. There was a lady who came in everyday to clean the rooms as well. Breakfast was a standard affair, but the dining room again seemed to cramped with too many tables fitted in. It was almost as if they had tried to fit in too many rooms into this small B&B. I thought it was overpriced for what was offered.
The Eildon scores in the location aspect. It is situated very close to the town centre and it is very convininet to just walk there to have meals or a drink.
We would probably look at staying at another place if we were in Inverness again.
Room Tip: Avoid the tiny rooms at the back of the house.
