We have stayed here several times - for one night stays, prior to going over to Orkney on the Pentland Ferry out of Gills Bay the following day. We have always found the hotel very clean and the staff very friendly. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, whenever we found ourselves in the area. (N.B. had to select a date or otherwise could not submit the review - selected "Oct 2010" at random).

First impressions were dissapointing , but that was solely the exterior appearence . As the welcome at reception , the room , and the whole interior far exceeded what I expected on arrival. We decided also to eat in on the night of our arrival and that certainly was a good choice as the food was exceptional , as was the service . The sweet trolley was the icing on the cake . And as for the breakfast it was one of the best on our five day trip around north Scotland . For anyone planning touring the northly tip of Scotland , its well recommended in staying in the Park. One small gripe as mentioned by someone previous , was the creekey boards in the upstairs hallway . Apart from that well done to all staff concerned.

My husband and I stayed at the Park for a week (I have stayed many times before on business). Comfortable, friendly hotel. Extremely clean (I have a dust allergy but had absolutely no symptoms in the morning which means the room was immaculate). Excellent breakfast, good evening meals, very helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of car parking and within easy walking distance of Thurso town centre. My husband also really liked the Park. Highly recommended!

My partner and I have just returned to a two night break to the Park Hotel. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the centre of Thurso and has a large car park out front. Our room was large with a king size and single bed the rooms were nicely decorated and we also had a huge bathroom. All the staff in the hotel were very nice and went out of their way to give a good service. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, there was a choice of various cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit, smoothies and of course the full scottish breakfast - sausage, black pudding, haggis, eggs, tomato and potato scone, it was huge and piping hot. Day two we went for the vegetarian option - mushrooms tomato, beans, eggs and potato scones a great big breakfast to set you up for the day. If I was going back to Thurso I would definately stay in the Park Hotel
