do not believe the website for this hotel ,we went in june/july and the website said the changing rooms were finished with the refurbishment ,this was incorrect as people had to change in there rooms and walk down to the fitness centre ,when i complained all they said was ,the website had not been updated.The reataraunt on two occassions did not have what we asked for ,and on top of that the room had a old damp smell about it. Definately requires a refurbishment.
Needless to say we will not be frequenting it again.

This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel purely for the location to the mountain. We stayed last February and we were on the ground floor, couple of little issues 1 we had no hot water 2 children were running up and down the corridor not ideal... The pool was cold and there was a man shaving in the sauna (this is no fault of the hotel) this time we upgraded to the deluxe room on the 2nd floor no lift?? Room was ok but we had no heating only a little fan heater, we were told it was due to a burst pipe and could move or have another fan heater. I don't mean to sound negative the hotel staff, food etc were good I just feel it's a little dated and maybe after a day of riding it would be nice to enjoy a nice swim in a hot pool.

I stayed here last year and although everyone was friendly and helpful it doesn't hide the fact that the hotel feels in need of refurbishment.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and this is one of the best.The hotel was not to busy as not a lot of snow around,but it still had a nice atmosphere,The hotel has very recently gone under some improvements such as a gym built next to the pool with modern machines.The main restaurant has also undergone a refurb and this is definitely a big plus.It is more like a proper restaurant now with nice seating and different areas with small partioning to break up the large room,very pleasant now compared to what was there.
As usual all the staff were excellent from Ewan at check in (very professional) who gave us a very nice room right thru to the staff in the"Woodshed bar" all are a real credit to the hotel.As for the food there has also been a great improvement here our meals were very nice but breakfast is our favourite here nice quiet and relaxed as it was not busy,we just took out time and enjoyed it.Porridge with honey followed by scrambled eggs and salmon all washed down with loads of proper fresh orange mmmmmm.
There was a good band playing one night and we sat and had a couple of brandies in front of the fire cracking way to end the night as it is so comfy in the Lounge.We both really like this hotel and look forward to returning soon.The other thing that made this break so good was that the weather was fantastic blue sky and sunshine made all the difference.
As for the prices bearing in mind you are staying in a Hilton hotel I don't think they are to bad at all,and if you go to the Woodshed Monday to Wednesday there are some good deals to be had and they have a new beer Stella Black cold and refreshing.In the Woodshed they also have a massive log fire great if you can get near it?
