Well were do I start! can not believe what I am hearing! this very rude man, ( the owner I beleive) has excels himself! Arrived to oh hello mrs ------ I beleive you left a review on trip adviser? well yes I did, but it was honest, not overly bad just honest, can't believe I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and stay again.
To cut a long story short, he took our money and refuse us to stay, well he shot himself in the foot as booking.com was on the line to me when he was shooting off his mouth, yes we had to get alternative accomodation with the help of booking.com but what the hell, I well never stay there again and I warn you, don't even book with them they are not worth wasting your money on. I hope they get taken off all the booking website's they are just out to make money and don't care about their clients.

Stayed here with friends in June, for the Take That concert. We were contacted by booking.com a little while before, first saying they (The Onslow) had double booked us, then that there had been a flood, so not sure what excuse he was actually using but when booking.com told him he would have to get us another hotel, all of a sudden he had the rooms. If you read the reviews you'll see this wasn't a one off. I think he realises something is going on in Glasgow then up's the price. My friends actually gave them the benefit of the doubt, as they had stayed b4 without problems, and booked to stay for 2 nights this weekend. When they got there, Tony wouldn't let them book in and refused to give them a refund. Caimed to booking.com, because my friend rang them, that they were abusing him. He's a robbing, cheating, nasty little man. These sites are for us to help each other and leave comments. Most on here are not good. If you book to stay here, you deserve whatever you get!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

We were not impressed by anything at this guest house. We were asked to pay up-front within seconds of coming through the front door, the man didn't even introduce himself. The room had an extra double bed/bunk in it making it fairly cramped. The decorative cushions on the bed were very dirty. The curtains had come off the track and would only cover 50% of the window. The bathroom had a crack in the floor tiles about 80cm long. The toilet (which needed a good scrubbing) had a noisy electric mulcher when flushed. This caused water to bubble up in the hand basin - not sure how hygenic that is. The shower box was fitted away from the wall with a 2-3cm gap behind and to one side, which obviously couldn't be cleaned properly.
Breakfast was served in the windowless dinning room (under a large TV tuned to the soccer) by a man with a nasty flaking skin condition down the back of one arm. He coughed over the table he was setting. The food was ok, self-service coffee and tea from a dispensing machine..
Need I say more? We couldn't get out fast enough.

We were staying here as my folks have moved to a smaller house. I read the reviews but since we were allowed to take our well behaved pet dog booked anyway. Let me say it was very cosy and "John" could not have been more helpful. Tea & Coffee were freely available in the dining room all day. Breakfast was excellent so I do not get what the previous reviewers "beef" was. The welcome extended was heart warming and it was clean comfortable and frankly a pleasant surprise given what we read. Would I stay here again YES. Its not Premier or Travelodge but its what it says it is a Guest House: and as a guest you'll be welcomed and looked after and if you have a dog its very pet friendly
