Our room was ok and reasonably spacious - it had been recently painted, but had been done in a rush and it was very rough around the edges (windows and bathroom doors wouldn't open or shut with ease, top of the tv and sockets and edges of the carpet all had paint on the them ) - this is a shame as the building and communal areas have great potential and lovely original features.
We had NO HOT WATER for our overnight stay - apparently an intermittent problem - the owner, despite being in the hotel, did not feel the need to apologise to us for the problem and would only consent to a 20% reduction in our bill which we feel did not compensate for the lack of hot washing facilities.
A good location for Hampden Park - Bed was ok - pillows dodgy - breakfast was ok (although not much choice if you don't want a fry-up) - Staff (apart from the owner) tried their best, were polite and as helpful as they could be.
I hope you find this useful - I have tried to be objective, but a hot shower or bath is essential for me, especially after dancing at a concert all night, and I was really not happy with a 20% reduction in my bill in compensation.
