We had the displeasure of staying at this hotel due to a family event in the area and our family had said this hotel should be nice knowing the general are and knowing the hotel was only a few streets away from our families house we expected so much more the staff in general were friendly and helpful apart from one who I think may have been manageress she had trouble even smiling this hotel should be bulldozed down (with the manageress in it) and re-built they do have a nice big bar and eating area where we did have a few drinks but even then we were sitting beside an odd looking creature who was swearing to himself and spitting on the carpet all this while drinking from a can of lager he had in his inside coat pocket we will be back in Glasgow for the wedding very soon but I will not be entering this venue's doors and will be telling all the family coming in from around the world to stay well clear of it, it could be such a nice hotel if money was spent on it.

After reading really bad reviews of this hotel i was dreading going to a 40th Birthday/Christmas night out here,,well i was not disappointed,,this hotel is not claiming to one of the best in Glasgow,,but it certainly did us proud. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and also clean, the only thing wrong with rooms, is that the carpet is worn down. (not a problem though). Staff were very friendly and the FRESH cooked breakfast was excellent,,(5 star hotels could not do better than that) Well done to a small hotel.

we held our wedding reception here and were a bit dubious after reading some of these reviews, however we found the staff very friendly, our meal from start to finish for 42 of us was fantastic and the evenings entertainment was superb.
a lot of our guests stayed overnight, we found our room lovely and spacious. there are a couple of trivial things, the bathroom is a little tired, the curtains came off the rail, but that was my heavy handed husband!! the room was very hot, maybe a lighter duvet would help!!
all in all, we had a lovely time and stay and would definately recommend it.

We would never stay at this hotel again. The only reason we chose it was that we were visiting friends and family in the area. It is the grubbiest hotel I've ever had the displeasure of staying at. Mold in the bathroom and stains everywhere. The window frames are all rotting and the cupboards are falling apart. I would suggest that the owner spends some money up-dating the rooms before the health inspectors decide to pay a visit.

Good point: location, bad point: everything else.
