“Oh dear...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2011

I'm finally writing a review of this place after staying here during my second year of college on block release (three-week blocks spread throughout the year). This week's stay has really been the final nail in the coffin. I have had dirty rooms, dirty toilets, dirty showers, rooms stinking of mould, filthy kitchens, stinking fridges, unreliable and slow internet, intermittent heating, draughty windows, dirty cups in my room and now - bedbugs (Although, in fairness these problems have been spread out over the duration of the best part of a year). My stay here is because of it's proximity to the college I am enrolled in and a limit to funding for accommodation while in college, and as far as student accommodation goes, I guess it's okay. You do get a double bed and a television, secure(ish) parking, and some of the kitchens are kitted out reasonably, but that's about it. If you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay with your own shower and a double bed, try here, but if you want a good nights sleep and guaranteed cleanliness, I would personally suggest looking elsewhere and paying a little extra. If you do decide to stay, I would strongly recommend avoiding the end rooms with larger wet-rooms as some of them allow water to seep out into the carpet and the room will begin to smell moldy.

“Never again!!!! dont trust them (theft of my phone)”

We had an awful couple of nights a few months ago with the mattress being as thin as a postage stamp and no water, no drain cover and the noise was unbeleivable. We complained and got another stay free of charge only for our next stay to be even worse. All was going well until the last day. We had checked out and got about a mile away when i relised i had left my phone by the tv and phoned immediatly to tell them i would be coming back for it, only to be told it wasnt there!! The maintenance man had gone in and cleared the room and taken my phone (which was bright pink). He even said he had been the only one in the room and still didnt return it! Having contacted the police and the management he still would not hand back the phone. I was heart broken as i was heavily pregnant and my scan pics and heart beat recordings were on there. How can you ever trust a hotel when the staff steal your things. They have access to your room when your out and could take your things. What is a maintenance man doing cleaning a room, he was in there taking things!!!!!!

“Its a Deal, Its a Steal, its sale of the Century”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

Stayed for 3 nights midweek in June with my girlfriend and it was perfect. The room was tidy and clean, towels & soap awaiting, kettle with tea + coffee. Toilet/shower cublice albeit small was spotless (how long does one spend in there anyway!) Bed linen spotless and very comfy bed! Easy to find cos I printed a map, right beside Partick Thistle Football grounds (you can't miss it). They insist on payment on arrival so I asked to view the room first before paying. The room was spot on and at £30 a night, we certainly had no complaints. 3 bus routes into city centre every 5 mins on Maryville Rd, or 30 min stroll cos we were never in a rush! £5 taxi home from the busy nightlife is a lot cheaper than Dublin!! Forgot to mention the friendly staff at check-in! Overall, a great 3 nights in Beersbridge!

“Never ever again”

This place is an absolute shambles, we spend around an hour trying to find the place. When we finally did we were very very disappointed. I know it is a cheap but we thought the standards would have been higher.
When we finally arrived, there was no car park which it states unless it was the one around the back of the place at where i would have never left my car in the first place. The area was poor looking and it was almost on the middle of the football park. On arrival at reception the staff were very unhelpful, first of all we were ignored when we first went in after standing for 5 minutes, a lady finally came over and spoke to us, she advised us that she didnt have details of our booking, at one point she asked if i could go our into the office and log on to my email in order to show her the booking.
Whilst at reception a man entered and asked if his son was in (no names or anything mentioned so i am assuming it is also used to put homeless people in). After going through all of the above we decided that we would not be staying overnight, left and booked into somewhere else which was more suitable. Overall we were totally disappointed and would never ever recommended this to anyone!!!
