“PARTY TIME AT THE BOTHWELL”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I chose the Bothwell Bridge Hotel because of it's lovely spacious Function Suite which is
also beautifully decorated to celebrate my 70th Birthday Party with over 100 friends and family. Steven was extremely helpful from start to finish and was very pleasant to deal with. He has a lovely manner and was keen that everything should go well which it did. Everyone had a great time, They enjoyed the Buffet and the ambience of the room. The staff were friendly and smiling and a good time was had by all so much so that my friend has asked Steven to arrange her Golden Wedding Celebration at this venue. She too was very impressed by Steven's willingness to make it a really special Golden evening which she is so looking forward to. Rest assured that if Steven makes a promise, he keeps it. This was our
8th function at this hotel and it won't be our last !! Thank you Steven.

“Family Birthday Celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We had spoken to several venues within a 10 mile radius of East Kilbride , enquiring about the possibility of hosting a family celebration for 130 guests. We were looking for a date quite close to christmas and I would have to admit, that after initial enquiries we were starting to have concerns about finding the right venue.
As this was planned as a special evening for the whole family, it was important that we got it 100% right. Howerver, we knew we had found the right venue as soon as we spoke to Stelios ( Steven ). From the first call through to the actual event, Steven was a total professional, friendly, helpful and always happy to help us with advice that would be best for us. He advised with his great experience, the suitability and functionality of the various rooms the Hotel could offer us, he was on hand to help with the menu options /combinations, he made himself available to answer all our questions honestly, no matter how small, and generally made sure that the night was one we will always remember.
The Bothwell Bridge was a great venue and Stelios is a wonderful ambassador for them. We would thoroughly recommend the Bothwell Bridge Hotel, and if you are thinking of planning an event or function, then make sure you ask for Stelios when you call, he's a great guy and is genuinely interested in making your event the very best it can be.

“Could have been better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

I stayed here on business for two nights. My room could best be described as small and shabby and very much in need of refurbishment. The bed was unsupportive and not very comfortable.

There was a small en-suite bathroom. The bath was narrow, took quite a long time to fill and there didn't seem to be a lot of hot water. The shower was OK. The fittings in the bathroom were shabby and the tap wasn't properly secured to the basin, rocking around as you tried to turn it on or off.

The room I had was at the end of a corridor and every time someone walked through the firedoors there was a loud double thump just by the head of my bed as the doors banged back into position.

The restaurant on the other hand was exceptional. I had two fabulous meals at a very modest price.

Would I go back? To eat, yes. But I'd stay somewhere else.

“Can't beat it for character and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We attended the Hogmanay dinner dance this year and stayed over and it was fab!! The only thing I would say is that the function suite was unbearably hot and the air conditioning REALLY needs looked at but other than that the food, service, rooms and entertainment were excellent.

The service really is second to none, despite the fact that there were at least 300 people at the dinner dance everything ran smoothly and the food was fantastic.

The band playing were Stewart Reid band whom we have actually booked for our wedding and could not recommend anyone better - they create an excellent atmosphere and the dancefloor is never empty and best of all.. they sounds great.

The rooms were lovely and have nice new flat screens and really comfortable beds.

We stayed here last January for our anniversary and loved it then too, we will be back for an overnight at the end of the month for sure!

“Bravo Bothwell Bridge Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

The Bothwell Bridge hotel is a fabulous local hotel, set in a great location with easy access to town and city. The staff are pleasant, friendly, and professional. Stelios (Steven) is a delight, eager to please, offering a first-rate friendly service, on hand to ensure that the hotel functions & events run smoothly. The food is commendable, with an array of choice, and a selection of beverages, to compliment each course. This hotel truly is a great setting for any event adding a touch of class at excellent value for money. Whether using the hotel for an event, a relaxing stay or a combination of both, it is ideal in every scenario. I have used Bothwell Bridge hotel for four events now, and I am certain to be booking a fifth in the future.
