Stayed here for the weekend with my brother on a sight-seeing trip.
We arrived quite late in the evening andcould not find the hotel after being sent in entirely the wrong direction by the taxi driver. The lady from the hotel rang me on my mobile as she was worried about us and stayed on the phone to guide us in. Very welcome.
We stayed in room 11 - a twin room, newly refurbished and very clean and welcoming. The beds were actually on complete opposite sides of the room to each other which is a nice change from those twin rooms with literally six inches between beds!
The bathroom was very modern with a lovely power shower and there was also an iron and ironing board in the room which was a nice touch as usually you have to a for them.
Breakfast was served in the downstairs room; it was serve-yourself but very fresh as the landlord was constantly replenishing things so no food was left standing.
The hotel is ideally situated for Byres Road, the Botanic Gardens and \kelvingrove art gallery and the underground station into the city centre is literally five minutes walk. Also, buses into town go from directly opposite.
An excellent value hotel in a nice and convenient location. Would definitely stay here on future trips to Glasgow,
Room Tip: Would recommend Tennants Bar on Byres Road for a "proper" pub and we had an excellent ital...
