I attended this hotel with family for a relatives wedding and a christmas party December 2011.

The reason I say be careful coming here or booking any kind of function is simply this...the DJ at the wedding had a couldnt care less attitude about him...sat behind a table and waited....sorry but this was a wedding reception and that is not acceptable...he shouldve driven the night to make the entertainment fo all concerned..but was interested in pleasing himself which was fairly evident by his quick exit at the end of the night

Now I was concerned about going back as it was a works night out...but how wrong was I..!! There was a new DJ on and the guy knew exactly how to entertain all concerned..the music was typical xmas party stuff, but there was something for everyone...

if you're going to book a function...check what DJ you're getting first...!!

Just celebrated our parents 60th wedding anniversary at the Crowwood Hotel and we had a great night.
The food and service was wonderful and the staff went out their way. Even set up Skype on a large screen for us to speak to one of our sisters in America.
Had a great evening, the owner Anne arranged the function room with stunning decorations (balloons, flowers candelabras etc)
We had a 5 course meal which was excellent.
Rooms minimal much like Travel Lodge style clean and modern.
Would give 4 star for the whole experience, would recommend for a family occasion, good value for money.

We booked the Halo Crowwood Hotel for our Daughters 18th Birthday Party.

On booking - the Hotel Director was very encouraging and provided many suggestions and tips for the party.

Booking was simple and confirmation by e-mail as requested was quick and accurate.

Prior to the occasion we liaised with staff and made arrangements for last minute items - balloon delivery, DJ Access and the like. We were allowed access the day of the function to decorate with pictures and banners and the staff were again, friendly and supportive.

Our daughter, her 100 friends, and 20 family members had a super time, a couple of teenage misdemeanours as you may expect of such an occasion, were handled with discretion and courtesy by the staff and management.

The buffet, which was tailored to suit our requirements, was tasty and plentiful.

Locally i would suggest this location is overlooked for family occasions such as this and we would recommend it highly.

Many thanks to the management and staff for making our daughter’s special day all the more memorable.

DJ services were provided by Bruno – jlbmood@sky.com , an unassuming and cool guy, with the best set up and tunes around.
