We had a short break in Marks. First impessions always count and we were most impressed at reception where we were bookedin by a lovely girl called Mabel. She was polite, efficient and friendly, not forced. Our room was on the 7th floor facing the city. Wow! What a view! The room itself was bright and clean with a decent sized bath and shower. The only thing missing in the bathroom is a hook to hang you robe on, but that's no great deal. Brakfast both mornings were excellent with a good choice of hot or cold, but, again there is always something, no choice of how you like your eggs done. Only scrambled available. Also tea and coffee served by the staff. If they are busy there is no chance of a second cup. We asked for a pot of tea and were given one without fuss. Might be a good idea for tea and coffe in pots. We had a meal in the 110bar/grill and it was excellent. We were served by a lovely waitress who was, again, pollite and helpful. All in all we cannot complain about any of the staff. All were friendly and helpful. The points I have raised are minor and we would gladly stay here again and agaiin and again.
