My boyfriend and I just stayed 3 nights at the Mark's Hotel during our visit to Glasgow. Overall, we had a positive experience, however the hotel clearly tries to invest more in design than comfort. The location was prime for getting around the city, and the outside was very aesthetically appealing, but once you get into the rooms, you start to see that it isn't as luxurious as the outside proposes.
The room was a small and clean, but decent for a few nights. The design was quite contemporary, but the furnishings are a bit outdated and under-appealing (the hairdryer was located and attached inside a desk drawer, for example). The things that disappointed me the most was the quality of the bed and pillows. Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay in the Hotel. I was glad to read that your overall experience was positive but obviously disappointed that some things weren't quite how you'd have liked.
I have asked that my housekeeper check all of our pillows, in this business we do rely on our guests having a good nights sleep. Mattresses unfortunately are such a personal preference that the next guest in your room may have preferred the bed to be hard.
I do hope you'll still consider staying with us again in the future.
