My bad experiences with this hotel began with the rude greeting from the owner / manageress and a demand for cash in advance. Now I understand why. Who would pay afterwards? The car park proved to be 150 yards drive away round three sides of the block, and 150 yards walk back - but don't waste your time, it is on such a steep cambered slope you probably need a camel to park there. I couldn't (scraping my exhaust as I tried from 5 different angles, both forwards and backwards). On explaining this to the manageress I was told in no uncertain terms what a bad driver I was. I had to find street parking 300 yards away, where I needed to move my car at 8.30am. I was booked for a number of nights, and had only paid cash (all I had) for one night. When I told the manageress that due to the parking situation I would not be staying for the other nights, she said she would charge me for them anyway. She then used my credit card number, without my permission, to extract the money from my account, for the remaining nights. My wife and I left that evening; I would rather have slept in the local park.
