“Comfortable and convenient”

I stayed here only one night and had to leave early for the airport, so I didn't get to stay for breakfast. Thus it's nice that you can choose with or without breakfast, in the price.

Our room was large and comfortable with a street view. Everything was clean and well tended. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

Really nothing to complain about at all... but I wasn't there long enough to say a lot of good things in specific.

“Great location, service and value..well worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

Stayed there and then stayed again!
This is actually a great option if you are wanting to go on to the Edinburgh Fringe for a day as hotels up there are really expensive. Whilst in Glasgow this is ideal as you are near many local attractions - the Uni gardens, museums etc...its away from the noise yet right next to everything - underground is 1minute round the corner so really easy to travel. Very clean and was really surprised at the size of rooms for what we paid - very good value for money and staff really friendly.
Will definatley use again.

“Really poor service”

The only accommodation on our Scotland trip that was really bad. First, you have to pay in advance; we came to find out why. Staff, esp. during breakfast, was unfriendly. One morning, they had run out of almost anything; and also didn't refill juices etc. On one of our 2 days there, our room was not cleaned because of a mistake. Conclusion: We just didn't feel welcome!

“Quiet, Nice, We Would Recommend It and Stay Again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

Because we had a family of four (my wife and I with two children aged 5 and 7) we were looking for options that were both affordable and accommodating for four persons.

Stayed at the Albion for three nights. The location in Glasgow was nice, a very short walk to Great Western Rd. which had plenty of eating and drinking places along with shops. A metro station was 2 minutes away. We stayed over a weekend and there was plenty of free parking directly in front of the hotel at no charge because the meters do not charge after 6 p.m. on Friday. The river was across the street so there was a small greenbelt instead of more buildings so this added to the calm and quiet. The hotel is on a street that dead ends where it would connect with Great Western, so there was little to no traffic. The Botanic Gardens, with a nice playground, were a 10 minute walk and Kelvingrove Museuem, which was really a nice place to take the kids, was a 15 minute walk (or $8 cab ride).

We were driving, so the fact that it was an easy location to find and was not directly on a busy road was convenient. The on ramp to the highway was 5 minutes away by car.

The people at the hotel were very polite, helpful, and professional, and the breakfast was good. We had a family room with four beds and it was decent in size, especially by European city standards. The building is obviously older and there is no lift/elevator (we were on the third floor) but the rooms were nice and tidy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Room 8 was the family room

“We would definitely stay there again if in Glasgow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

Good location. Friendly receptiveness (Jackie).
We booked on line, and were given an apartment at no extra cost. Breakfast was good.
The apt. was very clean and extremely comfortable.
