Not a bad price, £50.00 for one night and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good and on the whole the hotel is quite a good standard but the friendly staff are to be commended. But the air conditioning units sound like a Boeing 747’s whilst operating and the slightly warm air it kicks out from the centre of the unit is outweighed by the cold air filtered to stop the unit from "overheating" so it had to be switched it off (and yes I checked the operating instructions). It took till 4am for the small separate electric heater to bring the room to a comfortable temperature, I had to fold the duvet over to double the layer just to keep warm, a chilly January night in Glasgow which felt like minus 4, needs more than one small heater. Also I could not get any hot water from the taps on the evening and the toilet stopped flushing the next morning, the system just seemed to be constantly running but not filling up. I was placed on the front of the hotel on the main road so traffic noise was unavoidable but my during my last stay I was on the side but was also disturbed by a drunken passer by being arrested and carted away via ambulance at 3am so not a happy stay but not the hotels fault just the location.
