My partner and I stayed here from the 30th dec until the 2nd jan. Our room was on the 2nd floor and although the room was nice and spacious, it was facing gordon St, which is where the main entrance to central station is positioned. as well as all of the street noise, there was a LOT of noise early in the morning in the corridor outside our room, which we found to be housekeeping staff slamming doors whilst going about their work.
We ordered breakfast to our room on one of the mornings. This cost a staggering £50 !!!! As we had a quick checkout, it wasnt until i checked my bank statement that i discovered how much i had actually paid. The food was good, but not worth a fraction of £50.
Nice hotel, very good location, but would not stay again unless guaranteed a room higher up and away from the front of the hotel.

This hotel is located above the Central Railway station of Glasgow at the heart of the city within walking distance of eveything that is important in the city and easy access to all means of traspotation.

The building of the Central Station and the Hotel is a huge Victorian Building very well renovated - one of the best in city.

Rooms are also quite spacious.

All the rest are just ok. Apart from the above, this is a convenient hotel but you will shortly forget your stay there. (I suppose this stands for Glasgow in general as well).

I stayed on 6th and 7th of Feb for business.

Good Points: Great location, central, next to railway station; beautiful and spacious rooms with flatscreen TV and very nice, wide headed shower; lovely Queen sized bed; quick and good room cleaning service; very polite and efficient staff; great price (89 pounds).

Bad Points: Parking is at NCP around 15 mins walk away, which was a bit of a struggle with luggage. The hotel discount sets parking at £8 per 24 hours (ensure you get your token validated); Free Wifi is slow and needs re-logging in every 30 mins - very irritating if doing work. You can optionally pay £5 for good internet - however i was suprised that this could not be done via the web or the phone to reception, and i had to go down to reception to arrange this; there was noise from around 7am-11pm - mainly the tannoy announcements from the station.

What a pleasure to stay here. The quality of the hotel, decor and rooms is fantastic. All staff were superb.
