very clean, very well located
the apartments are big with full equipment (just miss hair dryer)
the team is very nice because if it's possible you can leave the apartment when you want on your departure day.
really really nice. we were 18 guys in three apartments and they all told me that it was awesome.

The Tolbooth apartment was the most wonderful place for our visit to Glasgow. The apartment is very comfortable, very stylishly decorated and its location couldn't be better. All facilities were just perfect and Ronnie was very helpful and accommodating.
We hope to stay here again when we are in Glasgow.

Booked apartments for a long weekend to visit relatives in Scotland, chose the Tolbooth Apartments following all the good reviews, we certainly were not disappointed.

On arrival we were met by Ronnie who showed us to the secure parking under the apartments, he also gave us some useful tips and details of places nearby of interest.

Our apartment was as pictured, clean, modern and very spacious, also had great views as were on the 6th floor, we were very impressed. It was fully equipt with self catering kitchen inc. all utensils & crockery, fridge, freezer, oven/hob, microwave, washing machine, ironing board & iron and clothes airer. Bedding and towels are provided for each room, we had an en suite shower/toilet and a separate bathroom. Kitchen, living room and dining area is open plan with large TV, free access to wi-fi.

The apartments are just a couple of minutes walk from the main streets for shopping (there are a lot of shops), there is a Tesco express right next to the apartments and you are not too far away from the motorways for exploring other parts of Scotland. There are several museums and art galleries within walking distance and the transport museum which is a 10-15 min drive, all of which are free to get into.

All in all it was very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to book the apartments again.

I'll get the minor niggles out of the way first. A couple of dirty pans the cleaners missed. The extractor fan in the kitchen section just seems to hum rather than actually do any extracting - we set off the fire alarm grilling some bacon (and no, we didn't burn it). Needless to say we'll be suing for permanent damage to our hearing after that (just kidding, Ronnie). The toaster and oven tripped a fuse a couple of times. Previous occupants seemed to have been a bit messy, but that's hardly the fault of Principal Apartments.

Like I say, minor niggles and none of them a deal breaker. The apartment itself was excellent - spacious and comfy, a place where you could easily relax after a day out. Other facilities were top notch, decent telly and easy-to-use wireless internet access plus garage parking. Comfy bed and nice shower, too.

Location is pretty much unbeatable - from the balcony you could almost reach out and set the clock at Glasgow Cross.We have family in the area, so it was ideal for us, but I can imagine it provides an good base to explore Scotland if you're on holiday as the M8 is just up the road.

Value for money? I'd say pretty good, especially bearing in mind that you can pay upwards of 70 quid for a seedy Travelodge room these days.

Service? Ronnie was very helpful and friendly, explained everything we needed to know in just a few minutes. Also worth mentioning, he was very accomodating when we turned up a few hours earlier than planned.

Overall? Despite the niggles, I'd heartily recommend the apartment for anyone seeking a comfy refuge in Glasgow as an alternative to hotels. Just don't book it when we next want to stay there, ok?
