Good location for sightseeing, and nightlife. Easy to get to, and there is a 24 hour reception. I found that the single room I reserved was cheaper through their website than anything qouted on general find-a-room websites.
Upon arrival, I was advised to upgrade to an ensuite single (for another £23 for the 3 days). SInce I was on a tight budget, I turned the offer down. But after 5 minutes in the tiny single room I had booked, it was clear that I had to move. The noise of the howling wind was something out of a scary movie. Steer clear of booking the single with a shared bathroom, unless you just need a crash pad (and bring ear plugs)! The single ensuite, however, was of a better standard, and had a view of the city and the art school. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was okay, nothing special. I prefer basic travel, so I felt the amenities on offer were sufficient.
However I did feel like it was false advertising about the room I had booked, that then meant I had to pay for an upgrade. At least I managed to talk the price down a little. Still, the price for a single was still less expensive than most places!
