Just back from a 3 night stay at this B&B to attend a hogmanay wedding. We had booked to stay next door at the Charlesworth but they sold their property and proposed Brownlees...and we certainly can't complain about the change.
The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable, with a massive double bed and spotlessly clean everywhere. Tea & coffee was provided in the room as well as toiletries and all stocks were replenished like magic every day. Breakfast was to order, copious and tasty - and was even served with a Bucks Fizz on the 1st Jan which was a very nice & much appreciated (!) touch. The hosts were really friendly and always chatty. We weren't there to golf but it was clear from their discussions with our breakfast neighbours that they give great advice on that front.
We initially had problems with the TV reception but this was addressed in the best way possible - as soon as they were made aware of it, the hosts let my husband borrow DVDs to watch (while I abandoned him for the hen night) and the following day a new television was installed.
The location was great, a short walk to everything, and we felt this place was good value for money (for St Andrews, where the cost of accommodation is generally high).
Would definitely recommend.
