I first have to say that we never stayed here...I am sure that it is very, very nice, but we never stayed here and here is the reason why.

We were coming over to Scotland for my friends wedding and booked a stay at Vicarsford Lodge. The lady was very helpful and courteous over email as I told her what we needed.

Then my friend asked me to be his best man...he had forgotten to ask me because he was busy day and night studying for months for his law exam. So of course I was honored. Almost 1.5 months before we were to go over I wrote the lady back and explained that I had just asked to be the best man in his wedding and that we HAD to find someplace closer to where they were staying in St. Andrews so we could leave together, etc.

So I wrote this nice letter explaining everything with plenty of stuff in advance and I get back this nasty letter. I honestly ignored it and did not reply back because I couldn't believe she wrote all that stuff to me.

Then my best friends mom was evidently staying at the same place and had to do the same thing. But this time, the lady wrote a horrible email to his mom and then started talking about me behind my back.

If we had canceled 4 days ahead of time I could understand, but we gave her plenty of warning and she treated us like dirt.

Again, I'm sure the place is nice but the lady sure isn't, at least is this case.
