“Suprise in the wardrobe!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

We booked a double en suite here at the beginning of July to explore nearby St Andrews (hosts told us where the free car park was), preferring to be out in the country rather than in the town. Don't be put off by the pigs in the fields opposite, there is no smell and they kept us endlessly entertained! Our room was generous, clean, comfortable, breakfast was good and our hosts most welcoming and helpful, Wifi access was free. If we are ever in Fife again we'll be back. I won't spoil the suprise in the wardrobe - open the double doors in the middle yourselves!! There is the most glorious beach nearby (£2 access and worth every penny) and we had a fab meal at Rumbledethumps Restaurant in nearby Dairsie. Also ate in the nearby St.Michaels Hotel where the food was good but if they spent a bit of money on the place to make it look inviting (eg.hanging baskets outside) I'm sure people would flock in.

Room Tip: Ask for the double with the secret in the wardrobe!

“Very good accommodation, great breakfast, lovely people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

As a co-owner of a 4star B&B in France I cannot praise Vicarsford Lodge highly enough. The owners are warm, friendly and helpful yet not intrusive. The accommodation is of excellent standard and very clean. Ensuite facilities are very good.

The breakfasts are just superb and accommodate a large variety of tastes. The Lodge is only a short drive from St Andrews and the beach. There are some eateries nearby and I went to a local pub one night and had a very good evening meal. I highly recommend this lovely place and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

“Comfortable place to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2010

The B&B was comfortable and very clean. The owners were helpful, and made a lovely breakfast for us. They took very good care of their home, and made us feel welcome, even allowing us to go into their family area to us the internet later in the evening. The rooms were very homey, and we enjoyed it very much.

“Lovely B&B, lovely people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

I was in St Andrews for the Dunhill cup and stumbled upon this gem.

Myself and two friends stayed in a family room (one double, two single beds). The rooms were immaculate; we were welcomed in at 12noon which is early for any hotel. The rooms were spacious with flat screen tv’s and electric blankets, not that it was cold because every room had a heater.

Breakfast was served early but it was lovely and plenty of choice. Most ingredients were sourced local which was fantastic. Eggs from the hens, a lovely bowl of raspberries etc etc.

The rooms are excellent value for money, I think we paid £130.00 between 3 of us through bookings.com.

Only down side was 10am check out.

“Lovely place in the country side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2008

We just spend one night in Vicarsford lodge and it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were bright and with plenty of space, it has some nice common facilities, a lounge, a very comfortable dining room and a conservatory looking to the garden. The breakfast was also well prepared.

Location is also a very nice one. It is not near St Andrews but it you can enjoy from beatiful scottish country scenery.

If your looking for an urban experience, this should not be your choice, because the lodge is in the middle of nowhere and its not easy to find.

If your looking for a relaxing experience, then is the right choice.
