Maria and Dell were the best of hosts, helping us contact friends in the area and directing us to excellent restaurants for dinner each evening. They made this trip with our friends so memorable that we are talking of returning soon.

I stayed at Doune House with a friend to attend a wedding in St Andrews. The location was fantastic. 2 minutes walk to the main street and no more than 10 minute walk to even the furthest edge of town. The cinema is literally around the corner and all the bars and restaurants are only a couple of minutes walk. It is only one road back from the beach front and aquarium.
We had room 5 which is a twin ensuite. The room was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. All the extras you could possibly want are provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, sewing kit, body lotion, kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, extra heater, lovely fluffy towels, facecloths, alarm clock, flat screen tv, free wi-fi etc).
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were very good. You can have full english or continental with cereal, fruit, toast, cheese, yogurt and juices. There is an internet connected laptop for guests to use in the dining room and a little courtyard garden that was lovely.
We needed to leave our bags there for a while after checking out and Del and Maria could not have been more accomodating. They really were very nice people with great senses of humour which made the whole stay entertaining!
Don't look any further - BOOK IT!

Maria was very helpful with our parking and places to visit. B&B was very comfortable and clean, excellent base to explore St Andrews.
