Although the location is outside of the centre of St. Andrews, this was still a great find and an excellent B&B. As it was "Fresher's Week" at the University of St. Andrews, the town was very crowded, so a bit away from it all wasn't a bad thing. Besides, it's only about a 20 min walk to the town center, or a 5 GBP cab ride, or there is a community bus stop right across the street (along with a Morrison's grocery, very convenient!) I'll echo other peoples positive comments about the size and comfort of the beds (best on our trip), the friendliness and helpfulness of our hostess, the tea, water and fruit provided in the room, and the great Scotch Pancakes.

This B & B is probably one of the best we ever stayed in. The outside experience and the distance from St Andrews were offset by the boutique appearance of the guest bedroom.Everything you needed was provided within the room and more. The 'more' included some homemade shortbread and a fridge with bottled water. Elaine the owner of the B & B was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was so superb we didnt need lunch that day!

A lovely B&B with really nice rooms under the eaves of the house with huge, comfy beds and a very warm and friendly hostess in Elaine who will recommend good places to eat. I can recommend the Scotch pancakes at breakfast!

This is such a lovely B&B with '4 star' service and comfort.

I booked this for my wife and I as a valentine trip away to St. Andrews. As soon as you arrive Elaine makes you feel welcome. The room was extremely cosy and welcoming with a huge bed and lots of pillows and cushions. It had a very good selection of tea and coffee, with a small fridge containing bottled water and a small jug of milk. The home made shortbread & fresh fruit was a lovely touch. A good selection for breakfast and portions fit for a king.

Overall this is a lovely B&B that we would highly recommend and will return to the next time we are in St. Andrews.
