Wonderful little hotel, great location!!! Wonderful host (Tony) cooked a fantastic breakfast every morning. Rooms were clean and the house was well kept. We would definitely return!

Overall we enjoyed our stay in this guesthouse, which has a great location. However, there was one problem which has left a slightly sour taste. Unfortunately I left a coat in the bedroom wardrobe when we left, and (over two months later) this has still not been returned to me - despite several phone calls and my promising to pay any postage costs. Very disappointing.

A wonderful little guest house, right in the heart of the town centre, only a minute away from shops, cinemas, golf courses, the sea, etc.

The room was clean and quiet, we had no trouble finding a place to park the car nearby, and the cooked breakfast included in the price did a great job in setting us up for the day ahead.

I would recommend Vardon House to anyone visiting St Andrews.

I used TripAdvisor lots before leaving on our trip to the UK - so want to give back a little. I must share our wonderful experience in St Andrews at the Vardon House Bed and Breakfast. The 200 year-old three-story “townhouse” is just a block from ocean (with a view from one of the bedrooms) and a block from the Old Course. The castle, shops, and cathedral are all just blocks away also. But what made our stay a treat was the host Tony Campbell. Tony’s custom made breakfasts varied daily from his award winning Scottish porridge to homemade syrup were a treat. When one of our foursome’s golf clubs were a no show, he even offered his clubs. The rooms were neat and clean and we were made to feel as if his home were ours. He returned to his homeland of Scotland after working in the USA and has just completed the renovations to this B&B. We (two couples) occupied two of the three “ensuite” bedrooms on second floor. He also has a separate cottage with two bedrooms.
