I have already booked for next year..which will be the 3rd year in a row.
Chris and Mick are excellent hosts,the rooms are quite small,but comfortable and spotlessly clean ,the breakfast is unbeatable!
Chris is obviously aware that his main market is golfers and he certainly knows how to look after his guests in this matter....he must have played every course in Scotland...and know St Andrews Links as well as any of their caddies!
I would absolutely recommend this B+B to anyone...and St Andrews to everyone!!!

Mick and Chris are amazing proprietors! They provided excellent assistance in getting our luggage up 3 flights of stairs to our rooms. The rooms were neat, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast service each morning was wonderful with an assortment of foods from which to choose. Both are knowledgeable of the St. Andrews community, especially Mick, who serves on the board of the St. Andrews Links Trust. As golfers, we were very interested in all he had to share. The Lorimar House location is perfect for golfers to the St. Andrews area. Parking is difficult, but most shopping and dining establishments are within walking distance, as well as the Old and New golf courses of St. Andrews.

We stayed a week at the Lorimer House whilst playing golf on the St Andrews' courses with family and friends. Michael and Chris were very welcoming and looked after our golf clubs when we weren't using them, so we didn't have to leave them in the car. Lorimer House is situated only five minutes walk from the St Andrews 'Old' Course and a three minutes drive from the Jubilee and the New courses...a golfers' paradise.The breakfasts were the high spot of the stay...a wide variety of dishes, and all superbly cooked, enough to keep you gooing till dinner in the evening. I would recommend Lorimer House to anyone who wanted comfortable accommodation and a warm welcome in the centre of St Andrews. The rooms are not huge, but they have everything you need and are spotlessly clean.

what makes lorimer house so special are chris and mick-the owners. don't get me wrong, the place is beautful and the location is superb, but they run a first class operation with attention to every detail especially if you're a golfer-they had so many great tips for us on our stay that the trip was perfect-just a great golfing vacation
